I'm very disappointed with the care my children received from Simone Carey at this practice. I brought my son in with a high fever 39.5°C, pus and swelling on his tonsils, and obvious signs of infection. By the next morning, his temperature had reached 40°C. Despite this, I was told he was “overdressed,” that forehead thermometers are “rubbish,” and that it was likely viral — no proper investigation, just dismissal.nnOnly a few days earlier, I had brought in my daughter with almost identical symptoms. Ms. Carey also said hers was viral. We sought a second opinion later that same day, and she was immediately prescribed antibiotics for a bacterial infection. When I mentioned this during my son’s appointment, Ms. Carey brushed it off by saying, “things change.” That kind of attitude — instead of acknowledging a clear mistake — is incredibly concerning.nnIt felt like she came into the appointment already defensive, possibly because I had raised a phone complaint previously. If that’s the case, it’s highly unprofessional to let personal feelings affect a child’s medical care.nnI’ve lost trust in this provider and will be requesting that Simone Carey no longer sees my children. I hope the practice takes this seriously, because children’s health deserves more than dismissiveness and vague excuses.
Never get to see a doctor, even when you're told your appointment is for a doctor. The receptionists one in particular sounded like she was reading from a script. Waited over a.month for my results even though I was told thw results were there but they couldn't give them to me until GP assessed. Waited another 2 weeks... still nothing and still chasing. Receptionist huffing and puffing as I'm going on. Absolute rubbish.
Actually very impressed considering some of these reviews , i called up 10:40am this morning got a call back 11:00am with an appointment at 16:00pm , got prescribed meds after going into the waiting room only had to wait 10 minuets and managed to pick up the meds from pharmacy straight away ,nGreat job and very quick :
If I could give 0 stars I would, the staff are unbearable the receptionists are so manipulative and tell you they are trying to help you when they are causing issues over simple things. They constantly hang up on you and put you on hold with no explanation. They also tell you they can’t speak to you right now, they try to argue with you that you are incorrect even though you have proof of the things you are trying to resolve they simply choose not too. The system is broken the doctors send you the wrong forms you call to request the correct one the receptionist start bringing up other issues such as changing your phone number you never get what they tell you that you will. One issue will roughly take you more than weeks of constant calling and trying to resolve the mistakes they made. I would at no cost recommend this surgery save your time energy and patience and spare your health find another surgery and based on the other reviews people have had similar experiences and the ones that have had good experiences congratulations to you as it does not happen often. Have filed a formal complaint so would like to see what happens from that but I assume they get many so probably nothing and registered to a new gp which will hopefully get better luck. Goodluck to the rest of you that are registered there and if you’re not count it as a blessing.
Politely phoned to request another appointment as they was late phoning! I asked how I go about complaining and then she put me through to the doctor I assume. Then the doctor said “I can’t talk as I have my CANCER appointment soon” and I said you are putting your personal circumstances on me right now, and then he started raising his voice and I asked him polity to stop raising his voice and I asked him to hold as I needed to record the conversation as he was VERY ANGRY! As soon as I said I needed to record the way he spoke to me he hung up the phone. I phoned back and politely asked to re book an appointment and the lovely new reception said there was one for next week and. I said that’s fine and then the other receptionist came on the phone and said due to the conflict so the doctor getting ANGRY on the phone that we couldn’t get referred there anymore and had to go back to the GP. The appointment was at 2pm and they phoned at 2:11pm. And the rude receptionist said “we wouldn’t give a time due to being busy and I said well I have a letter in black and white saying 2pm. Absolute disgusting!! The professional doctor using his CANCER at patients. Disgusting
