Flat is modern, clean and fully furnished. I cannot hear anything from the other flats or corridors. I don’t have any complaints about this building. Also, the maintenance staff are fantastic, they get jobs done within a couple of days of your reporting them. Very impressed and love living here!
Very clean and comfortable place to stay in especially for students. One thing I do not like about the place is that when I checked out, they charged me for carpet cleaning £75 per room from the deposit as they stated it must be "professionally cleaned". No students gonna hire some carpet cleaner company to clean that.. comon.. My apartment was thoroughly cleaned as well with some carpet stains already stated in initial inventory mentions. But, do not get me wrong it is still a very nice place to live in and situated nearby the city/uni.
Great location but absolutely awful management, made it feel like living in a prison. Avoid at all costs.
I really want to say nice things about this place because we went to view the apartments twice and they were lovely. A 1 bed and 2 bed on two different occasions. Really nice size and good place! Although the service we had from the estate agents were absolutely terrible. The second viewing we had the estate agents showed us round the two bed flat. Said she’d reserve although a day later it was taken. She suggested a different flat which was a one bed with office which we hadn’t viewed but was sent a virtual tour and immediately snapped it up signed with £795 deposit 2 and half months in advance of us moving. We are currently 2 weeks away from us moving into this flat so decided to contact them as we had not heard from them. Considering the current situation with Sheffield going into tier 3 lockdown again we asked if it was possible to move in sooner. The estate agent eventually came back to us saying that the current tenants in the property we have signed for are unsure if they want to stay and wanted to stay on although we had signed an agreement. Now putting us in a very unfair and difficult situation. I don’t understand why they are giving way to the tenant that are currently in when we have signed? They should have never told us this flat was available when it clearly wasn’t! Very unprofessional and couldn’t be arsed. Now leaving us last minute frantically trying to find another place. It was a real shame because the apartments were so nice! But the lack and poor communication. The attitude towards us about the flat and unprofessionalism of the agents I would not take a chance with this place. Definitely not garuntee even if you’ve signed a tenancy!! And still waiting to receive back deposit!!!
I wish I could rate this 0 stars. The lift that serves City Point has been broken for almost a month it will be a month on Saturday 7th December. Staff don't seem in a rush to get it fixed and always have the excuse 'they're collecting quotes' or 'it will need parts ordering'. We live on the top floor and it's inconvenient to us. There are people with children living in the building on higher floors who must find this incredibly difficult to live with, not to mention if someone had a disability that means they rely on the lift. We're leaving at the end of December, who knows if we'll find a removal company that will help carry our furniture from the 12th floor to -2.
The pay station doesn't work either for new £10 notes or cards. There is only one machine. We were therefore stuck in the car park. No one is on duty in the car park but we called the helpline and assistance arrived in a few minutes.
Paid online but when exiting no one picked up the call as per instructions. The mobile number given also went to answering . Had to look up the customer service number and called . Was stuck in car park for 30 minutes upsetting my further plans . Rubbish process
There seems to be no allowance for short stays that go from daytime hours to evening hours or vise versa - for example: 17.30 to 18.30 will cost at least £11 possibly more
Nice view, close to city centre and apartments in good prices, plus nice cafetiere next to reception.
OK but lots of pillars in the way as usual for multistorey carparks
