I was really hoping the quality of the food would match the excellent hospitality on show this Sunday evening, but sadly it was one of the worst Indian meals we've ever had. The main problem was the disgustingly excessive amount of oil in every dish. We removed about 4 tablespoons of oil from the main courses but they were still overpowered by the sickly taste of oil. My dhansak dish had no distinguishable taste or heat and was completely underwhelming. Needless to say, this food sat heavily in the stomach for several hours. The worst part was the waiter admitting that they usually pour out the excessive oil before serving but the chef forgot. Why not just use less oil to start with? We were also promised a reduction in the bill but that didn't happen. Instead we left, never to return. It's a real shame as the staff were some of the friendliest we've come across.
Seems to be too much focus on take away. Waited a long time for food and when it came it wasn't very hot. Portions are very small for prices. Used to love this place but now not so good and quite poor value for money.Food: 3/5
Great Indian food. The staff were kind enough to bring out a birthday cake we had provided and gave us plates and a knife to use too. We go back every year for the same friend's birthday.Food: 5/5

Traditional menu, modern looks. Huge menu but completely lacks vegan dishes or at least they are not marked. Food was okay, wish the tastes were as amazing as the presentation. Especially the veggie dishes. Friendly, attentive staff, little bit pushy on the drinks. Pricey for portion size but hey it's 2023. Can see myself returning mainly because Newport hugely lacks in curry department and there isn't much else to try, correct me if I'm wrong.
Very nice restaurant. Pleasant staff and the food is just that bit different from the run of the mill,although there is still the traditional fare as well.
A really high quality restaurant. Great decor and attentive staff. Food was glorious on the occasions I have been there. Some parking available.
Tried this in passing, found them on justeat ordered before they opened, picked up on the dot. Fair play they went the extra length for some takeaway folks for us and the food was amazing. Onion bahji and the tikka massala, from my end was gorgeous, peshwari naan was good too, from the partners side of view, he had no view lol... he had a good sweat on, I think you killed him with the chillies Stunning food. Thank you guys Oh and was boiling from Newport to the rhondda. Quality
Well presented establishment modern. Great food full of flavour good portions staff are pleasant and helpful. Would recommend.
Only had had it from here because our usual was closed not impressed chicken was dry chips awful onion bahjees wernt fresh never again
