I visited Valley Gardens alone and really enjoyed it. The tennis courts and mini golf made it fun and active, but the highlight for me was the beautiful Japanese Garden. It’s peaceful and perfect for a quiet walk. A great place to relax or spend a few hours outdoors

And to top it off, a nearby ice cream and coffee shop ensures you can treat yourself while soaking in the serene surroundings.nnA five-star destination for nature lovers and families alike!
Absolutely wonderful park to have a stroll through in the sun. This park is quite large and very well maintained. Lots of flowerbeds. The wildlife is really tame, see my photo of the Robin. Particularly liked the Japanese water garden.
It’s a lovely place with a bustling artisan market and food stalls on the day we visited. It was still early spring but the flower beds were tidy and colourful. I love how these Victorian parks seem so timeless. How could they have known those trees would grow and spread over decades and create such wonderful vistas?! Definitely not to be missed on a visit to the town.
Beautiful gardens, really well kept. There are plenty of benches to take a break and admire the view on the walk round. Lovely coffee shop too.
