Great place for the whole family and young children. When the suns out the little paddling pool was great and greatly kids park. Also lovely walk around the different featured gardens like the Japanese gardens was so peaceful. Theres no parking near the park if you’re not from Harrogate so beware fine are £25 and they are quick. Im guessing theres parking near the town but bit of a treak specially with little ones.
Valley Gardens in Harrogate is lovely, we just missed the live music on Sunday but it left behind a merry buzz. The walk under the sun colonnade is lovely and quiet. The grounds are well maintained, there is an activity area with golf, ping-pong etc.nThere is a place for ice-cream I had salted caramel, my mum - rum & raisin, my eldest lad - lemon curd and my youngest lad - cherry swirl. There are fountains and flowers and wells and trees, also plenty of benches to sit and enjoy it all from.
Beautifully kept. Lots of historical springs and wells throughout. A lovely Japanese garden. Some of the old out buildings could use a repair
It's really a huge park with so many things to do for everyone. We enjoyed at Playing ground and visiting all around the park to view amazing flowers and cherry blossoms trees.
Lovely, well looked after park. Loads of benches and places to sit on the grass for a picnic. Beautiful old but well maintained pergola that goes on forever with ancient wisteria intertwined amongst it. Plus a nice kids play park with a cafe next to it.
