I photographed a small intimate wedding here recently and was very impressed with how beautiful for the gardens are! So many wonderful places to take photos. I'm super happy this place is local to me, I'll be visiting again in my spare time and hopefully for more weddings too :
I had my wedding ceremony at the Mansions and I must say it was truly a beautiful experience. The Mansions and Gardens are well kept and are beautiful for photographs - the inside of the mansion I used the Morning Room was beautiful with the large window overlooking the gardens making it look more picturesque. I would highly recommend this venue - it was easy to get to and the staff were so welcoming and friendly we immediately felt at ease. A special thank you to Emma who was our co-ordinator and ensured our ceremony went off without a hitch. Thank you so much for making our day a success.
We did not hesitate to book this little Gem in London Borough of Redbridge. The booking system was easy, the service is personal and everyone is so friendly. I was 30 minutes late and as the bride very nervous. The staff greeted me at the door, took me and calmed me down. Even after the ceremony, they were not pushy and gently reminded us of the time to ensure that we didn't run into the next wedding party. The venue itself is beautiful, regal and timeless. I absolutely loved every aspect of it.
Lovely setting for a music filled summer afternoon! Very well organised entertainment from jazz to Chinese opera! Wonderful!
Beautiful mansion. Lots of history and small museum inside. Very much recommended for family visit and enjoy the day in the valentine's park
It was beautiful & fitting for the occasion, a wedding, only down side was it was dark so didn't see the outside...so plan to go back for a visit during the day
Very interesting house with various household items of interest. Hard to believe that the Council once used the building as offices !
Lovely venue which is great to wander round for a weekend
Open to the public on Sundays for free to look around an example of previous times. Good for visiting with older kids, the kitchen area has the best display including motion activated sounds. There could be improved descriptions of items, not everything was labelled. Most rooms are laid out for weddings, it would be a lovely venue for that. One bedroom upstairs was laid out as a bedroom with beautiful decor. The staff/volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. Given it is free, pop in for a look. Downstairs is wheelchair accessible and there are toilets in the building.
A great historical building open to the public for viewing Sun and Mon. Closed to public on Saturdays when it's available for hire.
