I have never gone out my way to leave a review before but on this occasion I had to. For many years I have struggled to tame my natural curly hair and have been to many salons and tried all kinds of products. I have straightened it a lot over the but recently I have decided to try and embrace my natural hair. I knew I had to start getting a decent cut and find someone who knew what they were doing. I did abit of research and found Ben. I’m so glad I did he did not disappoint! Ben talked me through every product and gave me a few tips when diffusing. I have never seen my hair look so healthy and defined, I could believe it. U left feeling amazing. I will be back for regular cuts without a doubt. He is by far the best hair dresser I have ever came across. The salon had a lovely feel too and everyone was really friendly. Brilliant experience from start to finish. Terrible hairdressers! DO NOT GO HERE. I went for a cut and blow dry and the hair dresser was so rude. He rushed through my hair-cut and blow dry in 30 minutes resulting in a completely lop sided hair cut! I have chin length hair and one side is about an inch shorter than the other! He also burnt my head with a ridiculously hot diffuser and made me hang my head upside down for about 10 minutes resulting in me looking like a frizzy poodle! When I told the owners about my experience they said that the hairdressers was trying to 'educate' me on the best way to dry my hair!!! Could you get more patronising??!Services: Hairstyling
The single worst hairdressing experience I have ever had! I walked into the salon with mousy brown roots and walked out with grey/white roots! I love spending time and money to look aged. The ‘natural’ blonde look I was hoping for isn’t quite there either - the hairdresser in question has no ability to match shade to skin tone. Her concentration was also all over the place. She was looking over my head into the street while her scissors cruised down the hair that frames my face – she wasn’t even looking at what she was doing! Both her skill level and professionalism were below average. She wandered off and left me waiting to go and chat about her dogs and share photos on her phone with another hairdresser's client for at least 5 minutes while my head was bent back over the sink, and another time to chat to a person who’d wandered in off the street to talk about products for 5-10 minutes. None of these times were while the dye was taking hold I should add. She was using ‘my’ time to ponce about. I won’t name the young woman in question, as she’s not actually malicious, but she could perhaps do with further training to take her up to the talent level and attitude expected from a high-end salon that charges double the going rate. Just to make it clear: the photos I've uploaded with the grey roots are from 'after' the bad dye job - I did not have grey roots before I went in!

I was given a very bad hair cut here. I booked specifically saying that I needed a stylist and not just a trimmer. My hair is not your typical, well-behaved, playing-along type, so I always go to people who are skilled and know that different hair types need different haircuts and care. I was promised a stylist, but ... the result was very disappointing. I mean, the pictures speak for themselves ... I asked for layers to add shape and volume to my hair. She's cut it in two layers that do not blend at all ... Naturally, when I left the place, she'd blow-dried my hair into shape so I couldn't tell straight away how bad it was. The three starts are for the receptionist who did her best to book me in again immediately, and even though it didn't work out, she was very helpful and I appreciate it. And one of the starts is for the fact that they use only cruelty-free and vegan products. I believe they can do better next time and I'm eager to update this review with more stars.
Had my hair cut by Ben just over a week ago. Never been to someone who caters to curlier hair and I'd 100% recommend it if you are thinking about it, Ben knew exactly what he was talking about, loads of info on what to/what not to use, cut it to help my hair look styled and aid the curls. Loved it and will definitely be going back to Ben in the future!Service: Hairstyling
Curly hair- I saw Ben for a haircut on my mixed curly hair 3a, 3b, 3c and I can safely say it was the best experience I've had in Nottingham. He listened and did what I had asked. He showed my different ways to style my hair at home and I am very happy with the result. I wod definitely recommend him for curly cuts.Service: Hairstyling
Great salon service. The head and shoulders massage and wash set me up perfectly; I had a cut and finish by Hayley. Expert cut for my hair - I came out happy, shiny and feeling good!
Not the best haircut ever, I booked in here as my local and cheaper hair salon that I usually use was fully booked for when I needed a hair before a holiday, i honestly expected better from a supposedly high end city centre salon. The hairdresser didn’t particularly pay any attention to detail and I was left waiting around a lot as they seemed to me running behind and trying to do lots of peoples hair at the same time. The cut and colour isn’t great not really bad enough to ask for a refund but I’ve certainly had better. It was all very rushed and I wasn’t asked after she had dried it if I was happy with the cut, the hairdresser usually tidies up the cut after it has been dried? It was curled but they dropped out straight away. Wouldn’t come back and I will be returning to my usual salon. I may even have to go to them to try and fix the dodgy cut as it is really irritating me.Services: Hairstyling
