Worst delivery service I've ever experienced! i made a booking for collection Thursday delivery Friday. Received confirmation of booking. printed labels off. sat and waited for the driver who didn't come to collect. When i called on Friday to find out the situation, the customer service rep could not understand that a 'guaranteed' next working day delivery isn't a guarantee if you don't pick it up and deliver it when you say you will. on top of that the rep wouldn't arrange for it to be delivered Saturday as a way of an apology and even wanted to charge me £5 booking fee for re-booking the collection that wasn't carried out, which I've already paid for! what kind of service is this?

Ordered off amazon, unfortunately had to be delivered by this company, finds out today that it's delayed by a day, no problem, so I rung amazon to find out what the delay is to be told actually your item is with Ups and is delayed by nearly a week! So my said item is Sat in their depot from the 18th when amazon dispatched to the Saturday 23rd. I would never use this company. Absolutely furious

This review is not in connection with UPS Sedgefield specifically but rather my experience dealing with their central communication system which is woeful. It was torturous dealing with your automated tracking system. I just wanted to speak to someone to find out when my package would arrive. But no, that's nowhere near complicated enough! I have to deal with a computer with voice recognition software that doesn't recognise carefully enunciated diction. Then I go on hold FOR EVER. So I gave up and dialled a different number which Google gave me for my local depot. But this just took me back into the same central recorded message loop. Then after a long hold I eventually got through to someone in Eastern Europe by the sound of it who clearly did not give a Flying F**K and be told that delivery can be at any point up to 7pm. What use is that!!!! I'm now stuck in the house all day or until such time as UPS get here. If I ever have the choice in future I WILL NOT purchase anything online that uses UPS for delivery. A stagecoach could have gotten here quicker!

The problems with UPS. NB: I receive Hot Toy collectible figures shipped from Hong Kong #1: They expect import fees on the door with cash on their first attempt of delivery (no cards or cheques) who has fifty odd quid in the exact change kicking about on the off chance you may be getting a delivery. #2: Once they have made the first attempt, if you haven't got the money in cash or you weren't in because you didn't know they were coming, they take the item away and deliver the next working day, whether that is suitable or not. And because you can't pay for the item in advance or over the phone they won't leave it with a neighbour. #3: They only attempt 3 deliveries, including the first one where they expect you to have cash, before sending your item back to sender. #4: The time on Google for sedfield were wrong (Until Sat 22/07/17, when I had to do their job for them and change the times to the correct times - after missing their saturday opening hrs by 15 minutes and a 80 minute round trip from home to depot and back. #5 It's an automated service when you ring for help. You have to pick the option not offered to you by the automated voice "Customer Service" to speak to someone based in either Taiwan or the USA, my bet is Taiwan). #6: Despite eventually speaking to a human being (which is not an easy task) They offered a redelivery for Tuesday 26/07/17, after waiting in most of the day and the tracking of the item unchanging - I had to ring AGAIN to be told it might come tomorrow instead. This is after taking the full day off to wait in for the F-ING thing and not off tomorrow BIG HELP UPS. #7: No issues in the past with DPD and such companies as they drop an invoice through your door prior to first delivery, you pay online and choose a suitable day for the item to be delivered. Clearly that level of basic service is too difficult for UPS!

Ridiculously frustrating to try and contact when there is an issue. Only ever get automated service so stuck in a loop. All I want to do is contact someone to pick a parcel up while I'm available. Logic is particularly good as attempted delivery was 3 times during week, same time each day! Erm work ,holidays, no-one thought perhaps we should ring or try weekend!
