Someone applied to study adult nursing, whilst working seven days a week as a care assistant and completing a MA. She had no sickness absence. The University of Hull's admissions tutor changed the status of her offer to unconditional on the UCAS system, so she put my house on the market. Later on, she received a letter informing her that the offer had been rescinded because, 'confirmation has not been received that the health assessment, required as a condition of your offer for entry to the intake of the Advanced Diploma Nursing programme, has been completed and is satisfactory' Head of Admissions Service and 'the advice offered by the Occupational Health Consultant was that he was unable on the currently available medical information to offer a health opinion upon your medical fitness to commence student nurse training' Occupational Health Manager. The applicant had cooperated fully with the University of Hull's Occupational Health staff. 
Due to her misuse of the UCAS system, the admissions tutor also prevented the applicant from attending her insurance university, wheresheI had obtained occupational health clearance. Not only did she not get her travel and UCAS fee reimbursed, but once term had started, she was being sent course e-mails so that she could see what she was, unjustly, being denied, in addition to a career. Why staff at the University of Hull choose to humiliate and ruin people's lives is unknown to me- they don't seem to have come very far since the days of Nazi Germany. The staff must be significantly more sociopathic than me, if that they are able to sleep at night, given how disgustingly they treat people. If you have any respect for people who are disabled by society, apply to attend a disabled friendly university, not Hull, with its staff who are full of hatred for disabled people and who misuse the UCAS system in order to discriminate against disabled people and ruin their career before it has even began.

We had a fantastic Applicant Day visit. An excellent campus and a great welcome from the Geography Department led to my son accepting his offer as his firm choice. He can't wait to get there, A levels permitting! He has also been allocated his first choice accommodation. Thank you Hull.
