Dont let your child attend this university unless you don't like them . My daughter against my advice chose this university when we live in the northeast. When she arrived there was no structure for new admissions and she found it very difficult to navigate her way around. She was put into accommodation on campus that was extremely substandard, mould on the walls and a door that failed to fully lock, despite knowing she had asthma.. After she complained more than a dozen times I had to step in and found the response from staff to be arrogant and rude. Their attitude was that she should be grateful she had a room!!, eventually she was given alternative accommodation which quite frankly was not much better they at least rubbed mould off the walls before she moved in but it came back the windows leaked during rain, the roof leaked and the corridors were in a disgusting state. She was forced to go to lectures by a senior lecturer who only wanted to talk about sex with the female students, and despite numerous complaints from students they were forced to attend these frankly lecherous sessions. One of her housemates was antisocial and openly dealing drugs and again despite numerous complaints they refused to deal with him, because of this he then began threatening my daughter and her roommates and making unwanted sexual approaches to them. Still the university staff refused to deal with him, when he then decided to leave faeces on the floor and walls in the community bathroom I threatened to come and deal with him myself. Their response was that they would contact the police and have me arrested??, eventually they removed him from the university after he attacked another student and I found out they did not want to act because of his skin colour and they did not want to be labelled racist??. The other students were allowed to run amuck throwing impromptu parties, blasting music 24 hours a day, drug taking was absolutely rife and the students that genuinely wanted to study suffered badly. My daughter started to suffer with depression and they seemed to want to aggravate her condition rather than lift a finger to help. When it was her birthday we sent a 'goodie box' for her on 24hr delivery but the university staff just kept stating it had not arrived, after numerous calls to the courier they provided proof of delivery via a photograph. It was her birthday on Friday, we sent the parcel on Monday to get to her in good time but it was only the following Wednesday that the university staff 'found' the large parcel absolutely ruining her birthday which again aggravated her mental health further. Eventually we paid for alternative accommodation for her and her roommates to ease their mental health struggles. The university staff do not care about their students, they do not deal with mental health problems or do anything to help them. They seemed to do the least they absolutely needed to do and were only interested in going home at the end of their day. I have been as honest as I can be, its all I can do. Do everything you can to stop your children attending the university or you too will have to cope with a mentally affected child returning home.
Ridiculous service, they either hung up your phone when they don't have answer or make up stories if you follow up on the tuition fees refund. Left my friend so stressed since its been 4 plus months they haven't yet processed the refund
I applied to the University of Gloucestershire on 18th October and received a conditional offer letter. I worked hard to fulfill all the requirements, including submitting a mature bank statement and preparing the full fee. However, I was informed at the last moment that due to a high number of applicants, my application could not be processed for the current intake, and it has been deferred to the next one.nnWhile I understand the challenges universities face with managing high volumes of applications, I feel disappointed as this has caused a potential delay in my academic progress and might affect my career plans. I would suggest the university improve its communication process and provide timely updates so that students can plan accordingly.nnThank you.
I have the worst Experience with this school.nI got Admission in Mid Nov and paid the Tuition Deposit fee in Early December way before the Deadline yet the school failed to issue me a CAS Certificate for Visa application. They later informed me that I should defer my admission to the Next intake because they had unprecedented number of applications and this was very disappointing.nnThe overall communication between them and prospective students is very poor. They do not respond to Emails. I feel very disappointed.nI hope they will respond to aleast defer me or refund me my money.
Beautiful campus with a mix of modern and old on a teardrop-shaped site. Fantastic facilities for creative and technology campus. All set within grounds that is more like a park than a university. It has trees, a pond, ducks and playing fields!
