About

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a UK Top 15 university based in Norwich, Norfolk, UK.

Story

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a Top 15 university (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017) and consistently ranked as one of the best universities for student experience in both the National Student Survey and the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey.

Our campus environment was rated as the best in the UK in 2016, and we have been in the top 10 UK universities since the survey began.

We are an internationally renowned university, based on a campus that provides top quality academic, social and cultural facilities to over 15,000 students.

The campus is located in 320 acres of rolling parkland just two miles from the centre of Norwich, the cathedral city, and England’s first UNESCO City of Literature. Our uniquely-placed University is also a leading member of Norwich Research Park, one of Europe's biggest concentrations of researchers in the fields of environment, health and plant science.

Sporting facilities on campus include the University Sportspark which houses an Olympic-sized swimming pool and regularly hosts international sporting events. UEA also has the world famous Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and hosts an International Literary Festival which has included famous names such as Ian McEwan, Kazuo Ishiguro and Anne Enright (all alumni of UEA's Creative Writing course).

The open day communication and student support to guide through the campus was good. Though we were not impressed with course quality.

Orwellean nightmare, devoid of character, produces or attracts uncaring sociopathic students and staff, who don't think twice about blocking up the parking space in the local community, depriving care workers access to the people in the community spaces to do their job, disabled people can't have visitors, residents access to their homes, was blocked on twitter for commenting on the situation, the council offer is to make people pay for permits / protection money to park outside your own home, disconnected from the community and UEA is basically a swear word, a crying shame. Thanks for the seemingly concerned response to my comment, it supports what I have said as I have emailed you and received no response, speaking to several other members of the community, this is the M.O of the UEA regarding this matter,.

Bad uni - didnt even try and accept me for drama so ive ended up in my home town at Anglia Ruskin which is way nicer than UEA - disgusted by UEA staff and students- very snobbish people actually - for not taking me on and in the end i got a grade that would have got me in for drama -when i visited this place the feel was not friendly - they were almost looking down on us -did not like it at all -one of the worst unis i applied to -id rather stay at home then stay at a horrible like that -all unis accomodation is over priced anyway

Used to think the concrete was ugly but it has grown on me. Wonderful campus (check out the Sainsbury Gallery - one of the finest in the country).

Really enjoyed being a student here. The Environmental Sciences department in particular is fantastic for both teaching and research.
