Story

As a member of the University of Cumbria Law School you will be encouraged to develop a range of academic knowledge and skills such as problem-solving, analysis, advocacy and mediation. We are currently 2nd in the UK for 'student satifaction with tutor feedback' in 2016 (Guardian League Tables 2017).

With a number of undergraduate and postgraduate options, our portfolio of Law courses is a growing area.

My older sister Emma was studying to be a midwifery. Not that she really go anyway because by the time she got placement or was like she could not be bother, she had proved her point that she was the only member of the famliy to get into university, and she was not interested anymore. And she'd got the job at the hospital and she leaved that too.nThe staff are lovely and helpful. I had only visited ones as Emma need something so me & dad when with her. But that was about it.

On Saturday, the library was open, and I had a pleasant lady serve me. Excellent choice of books.

I studied psychology and know of a few students who halted their studies/became extremely discouraged due to a certain rather discompassionate module leader in that department. I feel that this person did not have the students' best interests at heart and was not good at supporting their students mentally or providing motivation. This module leader has taken student's personal ongoings, that are able to affect uni work, personally, reacted egotistically to it, and failed to display kidness or respect in many instances.nnThis lecturer seemed fairly new and possibly immature. As a member of the psychology cohort, their behaviour toward students was often quite ironic.nnI have otherwise really enjoyed my experience here, and the rest of the psych team was fab, which is why I've done 2 stars.

3500£ is too much for a 1-year PGCE online course that doesn't give you any guarantee to find a proper teaching job... lower your fees, please.nnFurthermore: they totally ignore emails containing suggestions and/or complains from potential students

I applied for a course and been accepted and so far the staff have been amazing! They dedicate everything to their students and take the time to listen and help you above and beyond my expectations.nI'm looking forward to starting my course at this university as I already feel valued and cared for. All staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the courses and they are easy to talk to and understanding.
