Don't waste your time studying here because you can't learn anything! Learned everything by myself, while tutors are inadequate in terms of new knowledge and technical skills. It was not helpful, and there was no support for the work. Studios on campus are too small to accommodate many students at once. This place runs like a school, not a university.
The university is just 10 minutes walk from the Epsom station. This university has separate buildings for the creative courses and the business courses. The staff is helpful and humble. They are pretty organized and the university is quite hygienic, there are too less options for vegan food in the canteen. There is also a vending machine if one needs to munch on anything.
If I was able to- I'd give zero stars, I was a student at UCA for almost 2 years, and during those 2 years I was severely let down, I was sold a course that 90% of the time I wasn't even doing.nndespite students constantly asking to do collaboration projects TO DO WITH OUR COURSE OF STUDY and instead handed group projects that had nothing to do with what we're paying the university to learn was appalling and an absolute waste of time. We were treated like children if we didn't attend/left lectures when we're the ones paying to be here?nnThe lack of support I had during my 2nd year was the main push I had to actually leave the university all together, I communicated my struggles and had no means of help at all from my year lead, they also didn't explain the process of dropping out, they just told me to fill a form out- and that was it, no other communication was done.nnoverall- the university is a waste of time, they pride themselves on their mental health services when you have to wait for MONTHS to be seen, after 1st year your left to swim with the fishes with no direction what so ever, i understand it's preparation for 3rd year, but it was an absolute joke? to be left with practically no support is atrocious. My first year of study was great, with a few bumps in the road, but sadly that wasn't carried through into the 2nd year, UCA do better, listen to the criticism from students, because quite frankly, you clearly don't prioritise the wants and needs of the students under your care.
The work of the team at this university is very bad. I don't know how they manage the system. But it's very suck. They made me wait 2 months for CAS and changed to not give me a long-term visa. Just because the course was validated and didn't give any reason. It's not my fault at all. And they made me pay many pounds more for accommodation while waiting for my visa in the UK. And may also have to pay an urgent visa application fee They ruined every plannnIt's really very frustrating
UCA is the top creative specialist university in the UK, offering pre-degree, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Creative Arts, Business and fashion. UCA epsom is full of international students. I feel like home here. So many Bengali students.
