Recently I have been completely underwhelmed and disappointed with the lack of help I have got when contacting Universal Tyres, Ipswich. I have been a customer for years but after another poor experience I will never use their service again. I called the shop to try and book in a time to bring my car in to fix a lighting issue. I spoke to a man covering from another branch, he told me to not bring my car in and go to euro car parts and replace my lights without me even coming down to have them checked. I said I was unsure if they were road legal and I needed them checked. He said it would be a waste of time to bring it in and  he was keen in not getting me booked in. I felt like I was a burden on his time. All I wanted to do was bring the car in next week which is not a crazy request. 

   The last time I received poor service, I was told to show up on a specific day to get my car finished, which was having exhaust issues, and when I arrived I was turned away because I didn’t make an appointment. The attitude again was terrible with the man behind the counter saying, and I quote “Well, you should of planned ahead and booked a slot then shouldn’t you?” Even after this reaction I still gave Universal Tyres a chance. 

I wouldn't usually write reviews but when I contacted them though the website I was just plainly ignored. They had absolutely no interest in helping me or try to keep my business. It just seems pretty clear that customer care is not even on their radar. They just don't give a damn. Don't trust something this important with these type of people.

Really friendly staff. Nice reception area with complementary coffee machine. Even though they had staff shortages they did a great job in a timely manner.  Thanks guys.

I went here to get my air-con looked at as I thought the gas needed refilling. Unfortunately they found that the compressor had stopped functioning so were unable to fix it. They didn't charge me for anything despite spending quite some time trying to get it working. I couldn't justify spending out on a new compressor due to the age of the car but will definitely return now I have a new one :)
