Destination for comic collectors. Scott is always buying in stock and I couldn't believe the range, he tries to keep it in order but is also happy for browsers to go through recently arrived comic boxes! Not much silver age, but slabbed and unusual titles. I found a few gems that I was after and he prices his comics to sell. I'd love to see the store expand - it's very small but dense with stock. Well worth a visit.
Staff member was very helpful and informative, helped me pick out a good starting comic series! Looks like an amazing place for all types of comics :
Was on a minicruise from Holland to Newcastle and i looked up the local comicbook stores a couple of days before. I always prefer those little shops where you can dig through rows up rows of boxes and just do some treasure hunting. Found myself a nice slabbed ultimate spider-man and a raw version in polybag of the same but there was so much more! Learning that what was in the shop was just a very small percentage of the total stock, made me very happy and i am looking forward to coming back for more. I highly recommend checking out this shop if you are into comics.
Great little comic shop with a really wide range to look through. The owner was more than happy to help me find a specific collection of comics and sold them at a great price. Will definitely pop in again, when I’m back in Newcastle.
Been buying books from this mature master of the graphic medium for a long time and have always been impressed, nay..in awe of their knowledge and love for the subject. Here can be found not only an amazing selection of titles, both common and rare, but a friendly welcome and wise tongue. Whether you know nothing about comics or think you know it all, a visit to this emporium of esoteric entertainment is not to be missed.
Amazing comic shop, better than travelling man and forbidden planet thats for sure just because of the staff alone! Which makes the absolute ludicrous amount of comics so much better! Owner is extremely friendly and happy to talk comics which is always appreciated, cannot recommend enough! :
Top little shop with 1000s of comics in it, guy really knows his stuff and has always been friendly and chatty when I've gone in, this is what a back issue comic shop should be. Can't recommend it enough, we'll worth a visit.
Thought I would visit the shop on a flying visit to the area, heard it was an aladdins cave of goodies, and it was, well worth the trip, the owner Scott is a top guy, we talked for ages about all sorts of stuff. Trust me when I say if your into comics or graphic novels, this should be your first stop
What a place! Just taken my youngest in as he wanted to get involved in the scene. The advice, encouragement and generosity of the owner was simply great to see. Sam's face lit up and he's so excited to get reading straight away. Thanks for the peace and quiet bud, really appreciate what you have done there. We will spread the word
Best place for comics in the north, i have looked around for a while and not found one as good as this! Over 60,000 comics!
