Thank goodness for these walk in centres. I cannot understand why I have to wait a month for an appointment at my GP surgery but can be seen within an hour at Swadlincote walk in centre. Very clean. Receptionists very kind, helpful and polite even though some attendees still feel it’s acceptable to attend a clinic without wearing a face mask. Nurses attentive and helpful. Thank you to all who I encountered there.
My husband went with his daughter who has really bad tonsillitis. They went to the walk in centre in the hope to get some medication as she suffers really bad with it and it makes her really poorly. My husband and stepdaughter were made to feel like they were wasting nhs time as the nurse who saw them was extremely rude and very patronising especially about pharmacy staff who had referred us to them. However they still gave my stepdaughter a prescription which goes to show we were not wasting nhs time even though she made out she just had a sore throat. Not impressed with the service or the attitude of the nurse. We appreciate the nhs are stretched but we only followed 111 advice.
Not really a good experience. Waited from 12 to 4 was checked by doctor after 4 hours. Had infection and needed urgent medicine but all pharmacies closed by the time I was seen by doctor. Asked receptionist where to go for medicine as I am newly moved to this area she didn't know than Nurse who checked BP she walked in and told me to Google search myself which was disappointing, luckily doctor heard me and took Me back to his room done some search and told me where to go. Long waiting time which still ok as emergencies are priorities but staff not really helpful very disappointed mainly Nurse who took BP, she could have been more polite and helpful and nice in communicating to patients.
I have always had high praise for this service, although you do have to wait a while if you go at a busy time, I always got what I needed from them
Just been to the walk in centre as my own doctors are useless and what a breathe of fresh air. I waited 35 minutes which wasn't unpleasant and then was seen by a doctor who could not of been more thorough! Absolutely superb! The nurse on reception was excellent and like I say the doctor was first class. Can't thank them enough.
As soon as I walked in the first thing the receptionist said was that there was a 4 hour wait because “everyone walked in at once”, despite me only waiting 45 minutes, she was very rude and impolite. The receptionist made us feel as if we were wasting the NHS time despite not wanting to be there to start with. It seems all the receptionist could think of was an early finish as she told each person that walked in that there is a 4 hour wait, despite the nurses seeing patients rapidly. The receptionist is very arrogant and ignorant - a gent with learning disabilities walked in had a rainbow lanyard on and told her he can’t spell to which she raised her voice and started spelling his surgery out. She was quite different on the phone - probably because calls are recorded. After I was seen I sat with a friend as she suffers with severe anxiety and the receptionist impolitely asked me to leave despite there being enough seat spaces to fit in other patients, equally I abided by all covid rules, the receptionist was very ignorant. Nurses on the other hand are very lovely!
I am a very spiritual person, I am very aware of the energies around us. The facility was clean and well looked after however I was ASSAULTED by the negative energy coming from the receptionist at the front desk.
Better going making the journey to Derby walk in centre than coming here.
4 hours waiting time. Approximately 10 patirin the waiting room. I don't understand why 10 patients take 4 hours to doctor if in daytime GP surgeries doctors have 15 minutes per 1 patient. Lady in the reception didn't even bother to look at my son with severe aleergic reaction. Just handed form and mask and told us to wait 4 hours. That's it. No bother, no care.
If you're coming here with someone who has a case of tonsillitis, be prepared to wait the maximum amount of time. They don't take it seriously here.
