I've booked with unique cottages over 20 properties and never had a complaint but £18 booking fee added today, asked why this was getting added the reply was most companies do so. I find this a pretty poor reason and feel it's just an excuse to fleece us of more money.

Unique Cottages have an astounding selection of holiday properties in Scotland. The standard of cottages is second to none, the booking process is simple, and the reservations team are exceptionally helpful. Overall, an excellent company!

Don't bother trying to book through Unique Cottage's if you are under 25. Unless at least one member of your party is above 25, you can't book a cottage. This is pure discrimination of young people. I was trying to book Herbie's Cottage for my fiance and I for a quite few nights away with our dog. But no, we're under 25 so we were not allowed to book this cottage. Disgraceful. You also have to pay a security deposit adding around £100 to the cost.

An excellent service for renting out your house in Scotland. A good place to find cottages in stunning locations. We visited the office and had an inspiring talk with the boss. Everyone very friendly.
