Story

Union8 (740 South Circular Road, Kilmainham) is a contemporary neighbourhood Eatery situated in the heart of the vibrant residential , cultural & business district of Dublin 8. Close to Kilmainham Goal, IMMA, St. James's Hospital and Hilton Hotel Kilmainham.

The name reflects our goal - to become the hub and focal point of our community & for those from further afield! We chose it because of our location (union of roads) and our aspiration / goal (union of people).

We are interested in achieving prominance based on quality rather than publicity. The seasonal dishes are modern & well-balanced, with just a few ingredients. The wine list is adventurous and keenly priced, and the service is professional while appearing casual and friendly. All of which can be enjoyed in a stylish contemporary space.

We are open 7 days a week from 9am. Our food offering encompasses the entire day and evening. From morning coffee, all day food menu to casual eatery by night. Not to mention Saturday & Sunday brunch! Our Winter Early Bird menu is available (Mon-Sun / 5pm-6.30pm). Our Seasonal ALC menu is served from 5pm every evening.

We had a wonderful dinner here last Saturday. Apart from the stunning food, the “smart casual” service sets a nice tone, complimented with a great atmosphere. Loved the potted mackerel starter, a superb monkfish in Thai curry special, finished with a sharing cheeseboard. We will be back soon.

Wanted to go here for a while now. Finally managed & got here today for lunch. We went for a Pastrami Sandwich & Grilled Chicken Brioche. Delighted with the food quality, service, speed and design of the place. Everything is how it's supposed to be. Will be going back here soon.

We go here regularly enough. From brunch with friends on Sundays to romantic dinners with the husband, Union8 has fabulous food for every occasion. I have never been disappointed with the food (it’s always top class. Personally, I recommend the Artisan breakfast from the brunch menu or the steak for dinner. Service is amazing in a very relaxed and beautifully lit atmosphere, the staff will always add that personal touch. It’s great to see the owner getting involved and chatting with customers. It’s definitely a restaurant worth visiting.

We went for the lunch menu. Very reasonably priced and lovely food. Quick service time which is greatly appreciated when you have children with you.
