The place is fabulous, staff were friendly and desserts were delicious.
Good experience for lunch. The food was good and plenty for all of us. The service was cheerful and friendly. Probably a bit pricey not being in the city centre, but the quality/quantity was good enough.
This is THE place to go for a quiet dinner and drinks around beacon south. The food is good, the mozzarella fritters were perfectly cooked. Staff is friendly and makes the café feel more comfortable. The calamari is another finger food which is a must here .
Great food, passionate staff and lovely decor.
Sad to drop an updated review. We used to love this place and we went a lot for the main reasons that today aren't applicable anymore... Place was literally empty, just perhaps 5 customers in, and every order took at least up to 20 minutes, being that a coffee or a main dish. Chef has to ring up to 5 times to get the waiters picking our food... Also, menu and how food is provided has dropped points big time... Sad to let this place go... *************** Everyone run on weekends to get the pulled BBQ beef sandwich. It is the best ever thing I had ever. Amazing!!
I think some of the reviews are a little OTT. Food is good. Decor is nice and tables are well spaced out, no one is sitting on top of you. Staff are attentive and polite. A great pint of Guinness too, rare for a restaurant. It possibly is a little on the expensive side but being a Press Up venue you know you are getting a set standard. Would, and will, happily go back.
update: this place used to have one of the best French toast I ever had, well served and with nice caramel to accompany it. have been coming here lately at Sundays but they never have french toast. came on a Saturday and now I can say I had the worst French toast I ever had. Came plain without any sauce and when I inquired about the lack of any sauce I was given some random maple syrup instead of the amazing sauce it once had. the full Irish also seems to have gone down in quality, it was once amazing and very well done, now you can feel things are not cooked as well as before. the salmon dishes are still quite nice though. the ambiance is quite good. music is not loud. overall: Do not understand how a "high end" the price is quite above average, place can let the quality slip so drastically.
Very nice and new restaurant for the area. Fast friendly service which I gladly left a tip for. Dinner for 8 people birthday party went without a hitch! Good selection of draught beer which is always welcome. Food was excellent and not just what I ordered. Absolutely stuffed when leaving and zero negatives at all.
The interior and ambience is raising the bar for Dublin, very well organized even without day light. The staff is also friendly and helpful. That's all positive I can say. The food is plain and bleak for that price tag. There is one place called Square one in proximity, that has way better food - tasty and well presented. Thanks for reading my review and taking care Dave, I hope you improve!
So, let me say I like this place. I was here with a friend and there were a few issues, but the good way exceeded the dodgy. Pleasing to the eye, good furniture, good space, good service, good atmosphere, excellent customer relations, food in general very good. Issues: I had chilli burger and fries. Burger very good, as was salad that came with it. Fries a bit strange, funny texture as if they had been reheated. They were replaced with a fresh portion that was fine, quite tasty. For dessert, I ordered vanilla ice cream w chocolate sauce. Our regular waitress seemed a bit put out when it came to light we had ordered from someone else, then there was a mixup with the dessert- when it arrived it was just a lump of ice cream, no sauce, no nothing. €6.95 I think for that? But when we brought it to their attention, they were very apologetic and gave us a discount on the bill as we'd had those two issues. Like I say, excellent customer relations. And we weren't charged for the ice cream. So, despite those issues, recommended!
