The LCR itself is an ALL STANDING VENUE with a maximum capacity of 1550 for gigs and slightly higher for Club Nights. Age limits for the LCR are 14 and over for gigs, 18 and over for club nights. Dating back over 30 years, the LCR has played host to a huge amount of high profile as well as up and coming acts over the years . Acts to grace the stage are U2, manic Street Preachers, Kasabian, faithless, Stereophonics, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Iron Maiden, Coldplay and more.

Probably one of my favourite gig venues to attend to. I'm actually a photographer part time and I have been a student and a photographer and a member of staff at this establishment. It's been a great number of years of capturing a wide of different events. Happy to have went to this University and its given me many fond memories. It has helped me grow and establish a good baseline for my photography and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Staff are good. Security do their job well. The chap in charge is quite knowledgeable and has done this job many moons now. Quite friendly too. I don't really have anything bad to really say. Just sticky floors. Wish it could be bigger as a venue and that's it really. They've refined it and upgraded it over the past few years and I'm glad to see it still running even in 2022.
Saw the excellent Gary Numan here. Parking was easy and finding the LCR easy. Great medium sized venue for about 1500 people. However, the toilets are a bit grim ! Be nice to have a bit more seating with a view too - we can't all stand for 4 hours solid, and if you move, you don't get your place back! Gary was amazing BTW! Still got that unique voice and whilst he's older than me - I wish I could move like that!
Nice rock orchestra concert. Security should not stand in front and block the view of the stage. Too worried about protecting the VIP entrance. Did ask him to move but he didn't. Get a chair next time.
Great venue. The room has a capacity of 1550 people, with a lowered pit area in front of the stage surrounded by 3 or 4 steps on all other sides. If standing on or round the steps be careful, but it does help with a good view if you're shorter. The venue has a "no crowdsurfing" policy which is good, given the size. Absolutely booming sound: great acoustics which you can't fault. Great stage space, too. Easily fit the equipment for the main band and 2 support acts. There are also two bars, and a cordoned off area for accessible viewing. ⁣ Shout out to Holocene and Morganway who opened for Skunk Anansie. Very powerful voices and fantastic music.
I had a brilliant night. It is run very efficiently with lots of staff inside and out.,. There is plenty free parking . The only thing I will say is that it was a gd job I was with someone who knew where the venue was as there weren't any signs to direct you.
Excellent music venue west of the city, easy to access by car. Split level standing area with a safe viewing platform for disabled customers in an intimate setting. Public Image Ltd PiL were on form: glad to have brought my ear protection. I was amazed to see the big upcoming artist programme with several top notch bands and artists scheduled, not surprisingly, many sold out. Entry and bar prices much lower than an equivalent London or Essex venue, especially when combined with free, adjacent parking. No ads or signs for food outlets on site but I was told that some do exist. I look forward to going again. Thanks LCR event team who were all helpful and cheerful.

It has always been a decent venue to see bands. I've been coming here for many, many years and seen some amazing artists. Always room for improvement but overall I would say it rates high against other local venues.
Lovely venue, watched a couple of bands play here and it was easy enough to get served drinks and got a good spot to see the stage. People where friendly and easy to park. Can't ask for more
Always enjoy visits to the LCR. Brilliant to see they have introduced zones for people who have to sit or use wheelchairs. Their staff are always super helpful. Great atmosphere. Been going to gigs here for 20+ years now.
