Lovely, large park to walk with the dogs.nnI drove to the very end of the driveway so we could get past the golf course quicker and safely.nWe walked along the path with the railway on the left of us, but we turned around after walking for about 30 minutes as the fencing/wall to keep you safe from the railway tracks was really low, do I was worried the dogs could have jumped over it; to the right was a very steep drop to the River Tyne, also adding to my worry about the dogs falling over and getting badly hurt, or swept away by the current of the river.nThe open space was great for the dogs to run around off lead, providing you keep away from the golf course.nThere was a little cafè but I cannot comment on the prices because we went to Greggs up the road before we went.nAmple, free parking, all flat.nIn Trip Advisor, it says there are toilets, but we couldn't find any.nWe enjoyed our walk and would visit again.
Love it here free parking,easy to get kayaks in the water,gorgeous picnic and barbecue area,kids park ,toilets amazing sites and the water is gorgeous.
That is the best park I've ever seen. There is a playground, everywhere is grass and trees I would recommend it to everyone
There's been improvement made to the path, and the play areas are well maintained. Some of the picnic benches and tables have been vandalised.nIt's a good dog walk but for some reason, the bins have been removed along the riverside probably to save costs emptying them!
Lovely green space. FREE PARKING which is a rarity nowadays. Lovely river walk. Plenty of green for playing and picnics. Toilets. Playground. Good find
