Wonderful little adventure and little one loved discovering familiar creatures in the ‘deep dark wood’
A nice we find a quaint little trail. Good for a 15 minute walk around the woods with little ones. Also you'll find the Real Food Cafe only minutes walk away.
Adventure trail for small children. Enclosed space. No adjacent parking. Picnic space . Free. 6 sculptures to find
It’s a nice walk, didn’t need wellies in May so don’t be out off by that. Couple of characters were difficult to spot which made it a little more interesting. Great asset for Tyndrum but probably not worth a specific journey for it. We parked at the Green Welly stop which had no parking restrictions.
Really cute little trail. 5 year old and 7 year old were both enchanted - took about 20 minutes without a map. Wooden carvings are so gorgeous.
Short walk through a community woodland with 5 gruffallo related statues to find. Some reviews refer to map, and there's a sign up that refers to maps being available, but we didn't find any. Not a problem at all. The first figure, the mouse, is clearly visible from the street. Once you've found the mouse follow the clear path on the ground counterclockwise and you'll encounter the animals in the same order as the book. We stopped in Tyndrum to break up the journey to Skye. Theres no parking at the entrance to the woodland, closest parking is a residential street called Mansfield, where there is also a playpark. You could also park in the carparks to the TJ Diner or the Tyndrum inn. which is what we did, and we would recommend the food.
Brilliant find! I've been travelling to past Tyndrum for years with my kids, stopping for coffee and sometimes lunch/dinner and never noticed this hidden gem. Well worth the stop to go and see the Gruffalo.
A short little trail but very enchanting. Perfect way to give the little one a break and a chance to stretch her legs during the drive up to Fort William.
My granddaughter loved looking for the different characters. There was no map to show you where to find them, but only spread out over small area, so easy to find.
Cute little stop off for a leg stretch on our journey south
