Just a treat!! Steak and chips €19, superb! Desserts, best ever...and I'm not a dessert person. Great coffee. Lynn and staff are warm, relaxed but attentive. Lovely atmosphere and space between tables.
Really good quality food for the prices, generous portions, comfy local homely vibe and absolutely amazing servers. Twenty2 is an amazing spot for a bit of lunch or dinner that has never done me wrong in the 10+ times I've been there over the last few months. They also do amazing deserts and coffee. You absolutely can not go wrong with this place wether it's for Coffee and cake, a spot of Brunch or a Full-Blown dinner Which on Thursdays they have live Jazz
Been here a few times in the past for breakfast and lunch and it was quite good. I recently went with my partner for breakfast. I had the full breakfast, my partner had Eggs Benedict with bacon. It took quite a while for our food to arrive but didnt mind as we assumed it was being freshly cooked. Unfortunately it was not. Everything was dried up as if it was sitting under hot lamps for hours. The bacon was like leather and the soft eggs we had both asked for were also over cooked and hard. The coffee was very nice and the staff member that served us was great. Maybe we'll go back for a coffee but unfortunately not for food.
Came here with my girlfriend and her mother for a light Saturday afternoon meal. Such a nice place. Not too cramped and the staff were friendly. The meal was lovely and tasty that I could see myself ordering more. Looking forward to trying here again.
My sister and had lunch yesterday with my niece. We both ordered the combo from the lunch menu and my niece ordered the fish and chips from the main menu. Our combo was delicious. When the fish and chips arrived for my niece we thought the portion was very small, small tin of chips with 1 small portion of fish. We came to the conclusion they must have given us a lunch portion when we saw another table getting the same dish but with 2 portions of fish and a large bowl of chips. The waiter service was excellent until desert when we were looked after by another lady who was quite abrupt and who also brought us the bill. I noted we were charged for a full main for the fish and chip. We called the original waitress to advise. The abrupt lady returned to advise that she had taken 2 coffees off the bill, no apology, and advised we should have told them at the time that the portion wasn't correct. We explained it was our first time to go to the restaurant for lunch, we wouldn't have known the portion sizes. She wasn't listening, still advised we should have told them. A disappointing end to what was a celebration for my niece passing her exams. We did leave a tip, it was for the original waitress.
Love this place. It does a fantastic healthy breakfast. Great to bring children have healthy option for them and activity pack to keep them occupied. Does a real nice sweet coffee and for a treat yummy fruit scones. My fav has to be the avocado and egg on sourdough
Visited with friends for lunch, which has a "light bites" and "mains" menu. Everything on the "light bites" menu looked delicious but this was going to be my main meal of the day, so I went for the home-made burger and chips, which was delicious. One dining companion wasn't impressed by the chicken in his pasta dish, but the other mains and starter ordered went down well. Likewise, desserts and cheeseboard were well received. Price-wise, the "light bites" seemed a little on the expensive side, but the mains are good value with decent portions. This venue is a little off the beaten track, but word seems to have spread, as it was very busy on our Bank Holiday Monday lunchtime visit. Would recommend.
Why do people think they have to travel far to get to great places it is such a misnomer it's the classic grass is greener on the other side metaphor or Facebook envy. We've all been there but what we have, possess, own or live close by is often over looked and not appreciated. The Twenty 2 is one such place that we ignore and not appreciate at our peril. It is a gem quaint quiet friendly family orientated restaurant with incredibly friendly knowledgeable staff front of house and in the kitchen. It's a great team who seem to enjoy what they do and there is pedigree too the chefs take pride and it shows in the food. I'm no foodie but I know good from bad and excellent from good and the food was excellent. I'm a newly vegetarian convert 6 weeks to be exact for health reasons and I was well pleased with my choice the vegetable curry was sublime. PS I'm not one of those three hugging vegetarians my wife and friends are still meat eaters and they were very impressed too with their choice and food envy never got to us until dessert, well to be fair we all had different deserts and one was as good as the other. Anyway will we go back again? too right we will the northside has good restaurants and the Twenty 2 is excellent.
Quality Menu and attentive service. As a visitor from Down Under I found it to be very reasonably priced compared to anywhere else we have dined since arriving in Ireland. But for a mistake on our order this would have rated 5 stars easily. Would highly recommend a visit . Well worth the cost....given that the mistake was minor and instantly rectified I have changed my assessment and rate this dining experience as 5 *. Thank you for a lovely evening
Disappointed dining. It's a lovely spot, great atmosphere and great service. However the food is lack of flavour and creativity. I had grilled Haloumi salad and Teriyaki Cod with vegetables and noodle. They were both cooked nicely but quite forgettable. All dishes need a punch taste in it to light up and bring all ingredients together.
