Visited back in September. Came here out of nostalgia for my childhood. The sit-in tearoom is currently closed, so what you're left with is a standard bakery. I got myself some Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Biscuits and cream bun. Without the tearoom, it's just a bakery
Cross between greasy spoon, bakery and the Tunnocks factory. Interior is looking really dated with immovable seats, and the walls can desperately do with a fresh coat. Coffee is not great so stick with the tea! The food is ok with standard fair but this place is best known for the Tunnocks. There is a small Tunnocks corner on the bakery but not all the merchandise is available. Shame really, had high hopes. Place really needs some love.
The bakery is just a bog standard bakery, the tea rooms are shut, and the shop is just a few items on sale behind the counter. I think they're missing a trick here, because devoted tea-cakers like me would pay good money for a more tunnocksy bakery/tea room. A tunnocks afternoon tea maybe... So people who make the pilgrimage have something to write home about!
Absolute perfection. Please visit asap. Lamingtons are to die for!!! Best shortbread ive ever had anywhere!
A shop that's very dated and lacking in personality... not much of an advert for a brand that should be hitting world class. It doesn't even look quaint so much as out of touch. Nor was it fully stocked on this visit, and the staff were very sweet in some ways, but doing no more than the minimum and clearly focused on their upcoming long break. The tea room is still closed. If permanent then update the website and signs to say so. Or, if not, it's time it was reopened. If closing then, not least, the space it affords would offer a real opportunity to refurbish as a destination venue really showing off Tunnocks as that world class brand, while retaining a bakery shop at the front. And the staff need to be real brand ambassadors.
Omg!! Loved it!! Cafe still shut due to CV, but bakery and shop still open. Bought virtually every Tunnocks thing going!!!

I love the Tunnocks Tearoom the cakes are simply devine if your a cake lover you will love there cake selection,you must try there big apple round its tremendous also try there well fired rolls and bread a could probably write a book here ..you must give it a go..
Really nice cakes. Staff aren't very attentive and shop is very dated and needs modernised. They run out of cakes quite early
