Unsure what precisely has happened to this place. We used to go every week almost and it was brilliant, easily the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Recently, the last 4/5 orders the food’s quality has been really poor and slacking. Salt and pepper chips for example had completely hard chips in which were not cooked and almost no seasoning on. Salt and pepper chicken similarly has been on multiple occasions dry and soggy. Prawn crackers have been awful too, completely stale at one point. Last week for example or two weeks ago, I forget I got a really dodgy stomach and was up all night after eating the food. Beef and black bean similarly more slimy than usual and overall lots of the stuff has just gone downhill. At one point this place was unreal, truly one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve gone to, especially the chicken wings were easily amongst the best chicken wings I’ve had. So unsure whether something has happened with management or change of chefs etc. Going to give it the benefit of the doubt as I sincerely hope it goes back to its former glory. But personally will be trying another takeaway for now.
Good service and good food from this takeaway. Lots of choices. Helpings were generous, and all four dishes we ordered were nicely prepared. Glad we stopped in for food.Food: 5/5
That’s one of the best places in Skipton of Chinese kitchens. I always get some pineapple or banana fritters which saves all my bad days. The service is always nice and cute. I’m so glad that I found this wonderful place with wonderful menuFood: 5/5
Shame the restaurant has closed but a sign of the times. But good Chinese takeaway. The Salt and pepper box disappeared very quickly once on the table.Food: 5/5
The takeaway has a large variety of dishes on the menu, many of which are delicious! I have strongly enjoyed king prawn fried rice, chicken chow Mein, prawn crackers and more from here, twice for birthday celebrations. There is a nice atmosphere inside, with a stylized counter that has the addition of a Chinese cat ornament.
I ordered the starter for two and egg fried rice. Everything was hot, Tasty and fresh. I also the following week ordered the salt and pepper chicken strips and they were crispy and full of flavour. My fave and now local Chinese. Thanks guys
We use Tung Po take away all the time. Always good Tonight we went as a family and sat Down to a great meal Everyone had something different. No long waits. Really good sized portions The young lady who served us couldn't have been nicer Nothing was to much trouble All done with a smile Lovely Thank you.
We were staying in Gisburn for a holiday and fancied a chinese takeaway, took to google and found Tung Po. What a great choice it was, the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be using again next time we're in the area
Sorry to say, I haven’t had a takeaway from there for about 8 years, the delivery and food was quick and very hot when it arrived, but food was appealing, we spent £30 and had a tiny bit each and had to throw away, was our Saturday night treat as well, I wouldn’t normally post on here but we rung tung po twice last night and hung up on , and I’ve also messaged them today no reply
