Visited twice in a space of 6 days! Ordered the hojicha sundae. Honest this has now become my go to dessert in Chinatown. Its not too heavy/intense on the flavour and the balance of sweet azuki bean spread and mochi balls was a nice touch. Would highly recommend if wanting something different from matcha!
If you fancy matcha desserts then this is the dessert spot for you. it’s not too sweet so it’s really nice. However, i do hope customer service and communication gets improved charged us for the mochi topping when it shouldn’t be. Can be quite busy especially at peak hours but still fast If you’re seated upstairs on a hot day. Get ready, it’s going to be stuffy. no A/C when we sat there.
the sundae was amazing!! the matcha flavor is really vibrant which I appreciated. my parents who don't really like sweets even enjoyed this!! the lady at the register was extremely patient as I was figuring out what to order and gave this as a recommendation
One of my strong favourites for dessert places in Chinatown, the matcha soft serve and yuzu is no joke. Tried it a few years ago and never looked back, their yuzu float topped with their seasonal soft serve option is a summer must with this heat! Absolutely phenomenal every time, I miss their black sesame soft serve but their new hōjicha tea flavour is equally as lovely. A wide variety of dessert types all in a combination of Asian flavours of red bean, matcha green tea and yuzu and others. My only one concern which is not the fault of the staff or venue at all, is that this place is sadly targeted by pickpockets regularly and they are very persistent. Refuse anyone who approaches your table upstairs with laminated posters and keep your phones off of the tables as they will try to take them. There are notices in store for your information as well. Be vigilant and stay aware! The whole street in that area is a hotspot for thieves. Besides that, love the place and will definitely go back to try plenty more yuzu floats!
I ordered the black sesame sundae and green tea sundae. Both tasted delicious! The green tea soft serve was not too strong, and both went very well with the mochi. The mochi was a nice addition because of the chewiness. We were lucky there was an empty table upstairs for us to sit and eat our sundaes leisurely!
My lovely place for Matcha time I love matcha and cake with it. Today 14.01.23 matcha was amazing, better than ever. Cute place with sophisticated interior. They have table up stairs. Price for Matcha L size £5.50 expensive price but so tasty You can also buy matcha brewing accessories
Authentic taste of matcha ice cream. Been here many times, definitely recommend this place to everyone who loves matcha. The sesame flavour tasted divine too.
One of my favourite places to find warabi mochi in a matcha ice cream dessert! Highly recommend the Tsujiri sundae which is matcha ice cream topped with warabi mochi. Inside, there was some red bean paste more ice cream and some crunchy goodness not sure what it was but added nice texture and tasted so good . The shiratama sundae was pretty similar but without the crunchy stuff and more shiratama inside. BOTH AMAZING!
Good dessert - totally recommend and no issues there. However, customer service and the care for the customer’s well-being needs much improvement. The seating area had absolutely no ventilation and on a warm day like yesterday 28 degree Celsius, staff simply said the air conditioning is broken and offered ice water. It is a fairly new shop and the AC looks very new to me. Give your customer a pleasant environment to enjoy your product. Update: from a quick search, you can see a number of reviews about the shop not caring about the ventilation / stuffy air / hot environment. The AC is not broken - the shop does not listen to customer feedback and refuse to turn it on. Shameful.
Food Seating Authentic hōjicha & matcha taste. Lots of options in the menu. There are not many seats and it’s not very comfy or cozy. Also, there’s no air conditioning, just a fan, although I suppose that’s greener.
