Nice Cafe in Ballyroan. I had the all day scrambled eggs breakfast which was pretty good. Coffee was decent too, and service was friendly and efficient. It wasn't terribly busy when I went there, but it was late lunchtime on a Tuesday. Some of the cakes looked nice, but I couldn't justify having one of them after a fry. Next time perhaps.
Truly tasteless! These guys are very lucky that there is no other coffee shops around. It wouldn't be hard to compete with them. It's really shame. Such a nice location. Interior is cold and boring. Reminds me coffe shops in hospitals. Could be improved a lot. Staff is usually miserable... And food, the most important part, could be so much better. Toasts not toasted, poached egg is more like hard-boiled egg and the rest of the food on the plate - below average. I would recommend the owners to visit Farmer Browns bistro for example and get inspired. I would recommend the owners to take bread from Fresh next door, where they have fantastic selection of highest quality breads, baguettes, ham, salami and basically everything else... And I'm sure the butchers next door could also offer better bacon and sausages. Coffee could be much better. I would recommend 3fe supplier and a quick barista course for staff. Seriously guys, do something!
A very local little hideaway coffee shop The food is not great being honest and the service though quick enough is never quite very welcoming? The coffee served here, is of the best in fairness, in terms of taste, BUT if you ask for coffee, you get exactly that. There is never a question of whether you might like a bun or cake with it etc ? Perhaps a missed opportunity for a sale. It is sadly robotic
The owners have to listen to the reviews left here over the last few months, otherwise this business will struggle. The most important attribute of any eatery is a high level of customer service which sadly, I did not receive today! Greet customers with a smile, be enthusiastic about your offering when I ask for coffee, don't be afraid to upsell me and tempt me into buying a cake slice and engage with your customer both professionally and personally. This will make up for the out dated exterior. The coffee is good although way too foamy for a flat white - common mistake albeit. Make reasons for people to come here other than it being the only cafe in the immediate area! You could have a nice little monopoly here!
The hot chocolate was not stirred properly.the pancakes were nice. The bacon was crispy and lovely.they give you alot of maple syrup for your pancakes . But all in all , a good cafe
Weight watchers breakfast perfect. Lovely carrot cake and provide paper to read whilst drinking your tea/ coffee. Wish it was nearer to where I live but worth a ten minute drive.
I had a lovely bowl of homemade beef stew, beef lovely and tender. Homemade soda bread to go with it. Very friendly staff , clean , Would highly recommend a visit .
Was disappointed that the FULL Irish breakfast didn't have any black pudding on offer and only HALF a thin sliced of white pudding which was cooked to a crisp and unedible other wise a nice breakfast
Food was always good and very tasty.busy little place.very expensive for what u get.most of the staff were nice enough but not great except for cheif.very slow service.always forgetting to get u something when u asked like a glass of water or napkins.toilets were not clean and tidy.several times no loo paper or soap.i went because there was nowhere else to go.
Great cafe that offers a pretty decent menu. The poached egg breakfast is great and the rashers are really good.
