Booked for 4 plus 2 dogs, but on arrival a most unwelcome and blunt greeting. Ushered into another bar where a table was set for us. It must be said, the food and menu were adventurous and good. Service was efficient but blunt and unfriendly. All seemed too much trouble. Landlord appeared twice at the bar, speaking only to the two locals that were sat there. I don't usually write reviews but felt the need to do so on this occasion. It is possible that we didn't catch them at their best. As a response to my review the landlord has contacted me.
Went to The Trout Inn last night with family members to sample this year's Christmas Menu. There were five of us and we all chose different courses. Noone was disappointed. One of the best Christmas Dinners and if you haven't booked already, what are you waiting for. Thanks Heather for your magic touch. Delicious!
We only stopped for fuel.and found the trout Inn. The Sunday lunch was really amazing and good value for money.also do a gluten free menu.wi be stopping here again.Service: 5/5
Lovely staff, great food, doesn’t look like much from the outside but lovely and homely inside. Would definitely recommend.
Unfortunately closed when we arrived.checked on line.said open for lunch till 14-30pm we arrived at 13-45 pm and it was closed. Sad we have been there before and had a excellent meal. We were looking forward to yet another excellent meal . But unfortunately NO sad .
Not the most welcoming bar staff. I'm not sure why you'd respond in such a manner after 6 months of me leaving the original review? Perhaps I caught your colleague on a bad day, perhaps you were having a bad day when you felt the need to respond? Either way it kind of makes my point. Thanks.
A welcome break from the wild, wet.&windy weather. Cosy Inn with split bar and dining area. Delicious home cooked meals, very generous portions at very reasonable prices. Friendly owner and attentive staff. Well spaced tables in cosy & querky setting. Believe the fish in the tank is not available on the menu!
From the moment we walked in, we was made to feel so very welcome. The food was truly amazing and staff and are the best. Thank you for a great evening
