Lovely place to visit. Been many times before. Nice to be able to feed the birds and hold them although they do bite, I'm sure not always but we was maybe just unlucky with a curious bird! Thankfully the staff are close by to help when needed. Lovely variety of birds and clearly well looked after. Playground is nice but more for younger children. Cafe and plenty of picnic benches to eat and a small gift shop to visit before leaving.
I went for the first time last week and loved the place. A lot of interaction with the parrots meant that kids and adults alike were entertained. It is a small park, but we still managed to spend a good few hours there, mainly because of the parrot walk-through, where you can hold and feed parrots of all sizes. Once a parrot chooses to let you hold them, you just don't want to put them back down. I would definitely return for a second visit if I were in the area again.
Absolutely amazing place to visit. We have been before but not for around 15 years. Absolutely amazed at the changes since we last went. Great exhibits with a massive variety of parrots and other birds. Really loved the final part of the walk around and being able to hold and feed the free flying birds.
3 of us went and had a fantastic time. The interaction with the birds is brilliant, my partner did get bitten but I blame him. You would just have to be mindful for kids but notices tell you that. I can't fault the experience, great day, great price and beautiful birds. Staff were all friendly and facilities great for us.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Wonderful place, good value fun day out for all ages. Plenty of birds, who appear really well cared for. You can feed most of them as you go a Around. They have open aviaries you can walk in, low fences to feed the flamingos, a decent cafe and a decent play area. You can up-to 4 hours here I would say depending on what you fancy doing. I’ve been a few times over the years and they’re clearly putting some money back into growing this place which is great to see. It is also privately owned so all things considered it’s good value. Regular hand washing stations are also good. Tip- save a decent amount of food for the end area.
We've been members of Tropical Birdland for years, and it continues to be a highlight for our family. This hidden gem is a paradise for bird lovers, offering a unique and immersive experience with some of the most stunning birds you'll ever see. The park is beautifully maintained, with winding paths that lead you through various aviaries where the birds are free to fly and interact with visitors. The real magic happens at the Parrot Path at the end of your visit. Here, you get the incredible opportunity to meet and interact with macaws, cockatoos, and the magnificent hyacinth macaws. It's an experience unlike any other, having these beautiful birds perch on your arm as you offer them treats is something we always look forward to. If you're planning a visit, we highly recommend saving some of your treats for this part; the birds are friendly, curious, and full of personality. Tropical Birdland is a place that brings us joy every time we visit, and we can’t wait to return again and again.
I've visited this place a few times over the years, but my recent trip with my niece and family inspired me to write a review. Despite its small size, it’s perfect for a half-day outing. You get to see a wide variety of birds, and the best part is holding them at the end. They're eager to interact, especially if you buy the bird food available at the entrance. There is a cafe and toilets too.
We have been here several times, and we still love coming! There are so many lovely birds, with many of them wanting to sit on your shoulder. Be warned, one of the birds ate my partners rubber watch strap we didn't mind, so make sure you are hot wearing anything of value.
We had such a wonderful time at the bird park, i assumed it would be a quick visit but we spent quite a bit of time there and my 6yr old really enjoyed every moment. We love that you can feed the birds and how they interact with you. When they like certain nuts they will come closer to you or start saying hello which my son loved!!!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Lovely place to visit. There are plenty of birds, and they are very friendly with the visitors. We booked through their official website, and the ticket cost was 13.95 for an adult. If you're a student, the ticket costs will be 10.25 after discounts. Entry for children under 4 years is completely free. Free car parking.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
