Beautiful little seaside town beside the water..a day out to us glaswegians..many memories of being a wain and coming here ...visited again last xmas 2017....Great place at xmas too..seeing all the xmas lights along the waterfront...beautiful

I love Troon for the shops... The Jar for Whisky, Scensations for aftershaves, the Maharani for curry, the sit in chippy and the new Chinese restaurant..... it's all brilliant in Troon.
Station is great, they have 2 platforms. The only thing missing which i didnt find not sure if its actually not there is any restroom or washroom and baby changing room, I went to both the platform but didnt find.nThey have parking as well in the station.nBeach is like 5-7 minutes walk from station.nDistance from glasgow is around 30-40 minutes by train, which you can get from Glasgow central station.nTrains are so frequent.nAll the train going to Ayr will pass from here.
Troon is one of the safest, cleanest and amazing places to see on the west coast. Lots of seaside bars and restaurants, little cafes and local shops open during the day too.
