What a magical place! If you love the likes of Harry Potter, you will feel transported to a different time as you stand in the center of this enchanting place. Make sure to visit the Book of Kells Experience and the Long Hall. The Long Hall is a very long solid carved wood library with marble busts of philosophers and writers flanking each row along the hall.
One of the best and awe-inspiring places I've ever been to.nnAlthough the Book of Kells is very protected and you cannot take photos, you still get to see it in its original, conserved form. The long room is breathtaking and the campus is a congregate of natural beauty, different styles of architecture, and structural planning. The Trinity hoodies at the gift shop are amazing, by the way, very comfortable! Definitely get the 2-hour experience.nnOur guide Luca had a cool moustache.
The walk around the campus is nice and the entry is free you only need to pay to enter some of the famous attractions like the library. It's fine, but probably don't expect anything too special.
If you are staying in or around Dublin I would highly recommend making the Trinity college one of your stops. There was a lot to see and so much information to learn! The building are quite beautiful and everyone is friendly! We did a self tour but if you are interested in getting the complete back story they do offer guided tours! The library is incredibly impressive but not all the shelves are full of books, only the first 4-5 are. It doesn’t take away from its significance but it’s something that most pictures don’t show!
I did the guided tour here and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in history. The guide was great and knowledgeable. Got to hear lots of history about the school, and at the end go see the book of kells. There is a large gift shop at the end. The toilets are by the cafe.
