My siblings went to this school and thank God I didn't. It wasn't all that good before trinity came but it wasn't this bad either. Not being able to touch your friends because you can get detention for it. And if for any reason you miss the 1 hour after school detention it gets changed to a 2 hour one. Completely unreasonable. Why not have lunch time detentions like nearly every other secondary school?
More of a cult than a place to nurture young minds. The rules are so extreme; silent entry, silent corridors, silent changing. If you get less than 7/10 in the assessments you get a detention despite saying “it’s ok to make mistakes.” They make a new rule every other week. The teachers enjoy penalising you. The school are so concerned about ofsted reviews annd not the well-being and mental health of students. Even the most academic, agreeable students don’t want to be there, myself included. It’s a dictatorship. The morale for all the students is so low. Having spoken to my neighbours they all agree. Would not recommend going here for anyone.
This school may look good statistically, however the students are unhappy being within the school. Teachers mistreat the students by overworking them, giving them over the top punishments such as 1 and 2 hour detentions for things as simple as giving each other a handshake due to the “no-contact” rule. On the other hand students even vape in classrooms without being caught most of the time. Something that really concerns me however is that there is windows looking into the bathrooms in this school, many students are now uncomfortable with even using the bathrooms during breaks and lunches, which is their only time given to go to the bathrooms. This shameful school is full of teachers who abuse their power, maltreat students and make the environment miserable to be in due to the authoritarian regime this school upholds.
My son is very happy at this school and the progress that he does is what I am expecting from school. Regarding detection in the other opinion yes my son also have it few times but I think school is doing well with that and this is what is learning kids responsibility for they action.
The worst school I have ever seen, my daughter had got detention just for going to the toilet, isolation just because she tried to let me know about her detention due to the teacher saying it’s not their duty to let parents know about detentions and isolations happening. No warning given before getting detentions. My son was told to help another student so the other student had asked a question and the teacher had then given my son detentionand said to my son “we don’t want students like you in our school” in the previous school my son had attended he was top and had excellent education since he had come to this school his education has gone down, never send your child to that school.
