I would completely avoid this cafe and bring your own coffee / picnic. The place is filthy, cobwebs and dirt everywhere. Completely overpriced £2.00 for a cup of tea? and not worth it at all. The food is deep fried and tasteless, served on paper plates I opened the kids fish fingers to find it was not even white. You don’t even get a good view of park. If you have children I really would encourage bringing your own food and having a picnic in the fields Trent park itself is stunning
Great park coffee. Good location , kindly person and affordable prices. We ordered 2 coffee, 1 cake and Ice cream for my son. I just want to remake this, coffee is not enough clean. We sat dirty table and cleaned myself. Coffee is okey but not tasty. This is the most important coffee doesn’t have toilet and you should use awful park toilet ‍
Just opened today, new owner cafe all redecorated and very pleasant. Staff very friendly and coffee sandwiches very good. I spent a very pleasant lunch time there and will again soon.Food: 5/5
New cafe looks very nice, but isn’t dog friendly - so sadly couldn’t drop in today. Sharing in case helpful for others with dogs. I’ll update my review once I get a chance to try it properly.
I’ve had food previously here and sometimes takeaway coffee or hot chocolate. The hot drinks are nothing special unfortunately and normally if I can get my drink from another coffee shop on my way I usually do that to get a better quality hot drink. They seem to sell Costco cakes and pastries, double the price but unfortunately not as fresh as it seems to have been sitting there for days. The food has always been very average and over priced for the quality you get. Never tried the bbqs they sometimes have so can’t comment on that. The customer service is usually very poor and it has nothing to do with how busy they are as the service is always slow and not the most friendliest environment. The actual coffee shop is in a great location and I love the seating outside, if they could improve the quality of their meals and drinks and train or employ friendlier staff it will really improve the quality of this cafe.
UPDATE 27th May 2024 New business, I believe with some teething issues currently run out of bread and semi-skimmed and skimmed milk. We got a black coffee and a chai latte, the chair latte was nice but the black coffee did taste like a light roast slightly acidic so didn't taste like a dark or medium-dark roast may want to change that. We didn't taste the food however this looked nice and the staff were nice as well. Parking: On specific days the parking can be hard to get.
Terrible unhealthy food. Ordered sausage baguette with salad, was told I can’t have salad, only crisps. Not even a flippin leaf of lettuce! And my daughter’s lunch chips & nuggets wasn’t much better.
Good selection of food. A touch on the pricey side but that is what is expected nowadays. Would have liked my waffle to look like an actual waffle though. Looked more like a crep/pancake. Tasted good otherwise.
I was in shock when I went to meet friends in the cafe. One of the dirty and unhygienic place. Also not safe walking around. Full off bins in the garden side they smell and no need for them. Inside the cafe lots of boxes. I don't understand how the council does allow them run the cafe. I dare to see the kitchen. I was very hungry and I ordered something simple sandwich. Tomato, Avacado and mozzarella. It was horrible. They did not use Avacado. Paid for £6.50 for it. It was not worth at all.
Lovely location and plenty of parking. We ordered omelettes with sweet potato fries which were fantastic. However, we also ordered two lattes which never arrived and we had to chase them. I understand the confusion as they were extremely busy today and they did rectify it. A good place to eat and drink overall and a lovely setting.
