It was so nice and easy to get to. There is an area to park, and it's not a very busy road anyway. It can be seen very nicely from outside of the field, but if you are able, there is an easy stile to get into the field.
Unfortunately the area around this beautiful and quiet monument is being bought up by developers. With a currently beautiful view and a matching atmosphere, this is a worthy stop on a tour of Holyhead. Equally unfortunately, a person of questionable intelligence decided to camp right by the entrance to the open tomb.
Interesting site, particularly due to the fact that it is opened up and not covered by earth or rocks. There are 3 tombs all in the same site and joined together. The signs explain the history of the place, and it is worthy of a visit, especially if you are a Modern Antiquarian.
Trefignath is worth a stop if you know and appreciate the ancient monuments. There are three separate burial chambers in a row. Archeologists found the remains of 30 women and children in one of them.nnRemember to always show respect for the monuments, for the age of them being thousands of years old and irreplaceable, and for the people who were buried there.nnThere are also other related monuments nearby and aligned with this one.
Fantastic chambers and I found these really easy to find as well tho I do think there could be more signs up for these monuments. Edited 23rd Oct 2019 General tidy up but this monument didn't need it I am pleased to report.
