"This is where it all began in the heart of Thetford Forest back in 2002. Our first ever Go Ape experience in the UK. A patchwork of pines, heathland and broadleaves provide the ideal setting for a great day out. Whether you're looking for things to do nearby with the kids or something memorable to experience with friends we have adventure covered. Thetford plays host to four of our high ropes courses - catering for those aged 4 to 104. Explore the forest on two wheels with our all-terrain Segways or explore the wooded canopy. Finally, test your mettle against Go Ape's newest and most demanding high ropes experience. It's tough. Proper tough. It's called Challenge Plus."

Go ape was so much fun we had a group of six which was a nice amount of people, I personally think if there were more of us we would have been too separated. We all had fun doing the tree top challenge would highly recommend to do. After we went back to the camper van and had a well deserved bacon baps and cuppa! I would recommend anyone to give this a challenge a go...you may ache the next day but it's worth it!
A fab family afternoon adventure at High Lodge in the heart of Thetford forest, staff was extremely helpful and informative. All family had a great time, definitely something for all ages. A note, our 5 old year had put on he’s harness but then came a little overwhelmed by the height, a member of the team was very encouraging but our son still decided he didn’t want to go up, they happily offered a refund for this. Highly recommended, definitely we be back again very soon.
Really enjoyed my time here with friends! Fantastic staff and a fun time. Felt safe and the setting was beautiful. My only gripe was the price of drinks at the cafe. £2.80 for a bottle of 7up was a bit steep.
What a great morning out, real good fun, and can be as challenging and easy as you want. Obviously there is a level of fitness required. Would definitely go again!
A great day out for the family. Opertunity for forest walks with a scattering of play areas. Around the lodge you have a cafe, toilets, Go Ape, bike hire, archery and open space for games or picnic. Parking was £12.50 for the day
A great few hours spent testing my clearly poor ability and to see how much of a nervous reck I really am. Really good fun, and the course is much longer than i thought, the staff are all friendly and happy to help. The courses are great in that if you dont want to take a hard route you really dont have to, i think they are all really well laid out. I dont think its to badly priced, we did get a few optional extras but generally speaking very much worth it. I would recommend wearing gloves in the summer and take a phone case that you can tie to yourself.

This is the 2nd time we have been here. The staff are super friendly, extremely helpful and very thorough. We enjoyed the day very much. Downsides, you have to pay for parking we got there at 12:30 and left at around 4 PM. it cost £9! I guess it goes towards the conservation? The ONLY cafe there is super expensive IMO. £7 for a fish finger sandwich... Best to take a picnic.
Plenty to do in the surrounding areas, a really exhilarating & fun experience, especially when killing time for ‘going ape’ at sunset/twilight
Had a great time doing the go ape treetop challenge, love the experience and staff were fab. The downside was that after the activity we went to the cafe for some lunch around 1.30pm,we were so hungry! There was 1 sandwich left and 1 panni. Was not impressed with the level of stock/ choice and the poor lady behind the till was on her own. Not good considering how busy it was and the car park charge was horrendously expensive! Would have given 4 star if wasn't for the car park......
