The staff here have been amazing. I stayed 2 nights with my daughter while my partner is in the hospital nearby and I have no complaints at all. The room was clean, comfortable and had brilliant accessibility for disabled person. The room had plenty of space around it and the bathroom was a fully kitted out wet room with folding seat and lowered sink. I felt seen and understood by the staff and they were very accommodating to the point that I wanted some scissors for a craft project and they found me some straight away. I would definitely stay again.
The staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable but some of the detailing is tired. However, we are given to understand that there is shortly to be a refurbishment. Irrespective of that it was inexpensive and clean. We had a good night's sleep and enjoyed our overnight stay.nOne needs to remember that this is a budget hotel; if you want 4* or 5* decor and facilities you will need to pay more!nA good stay.....
Stayed for two nights for a conference. The room was very dated and worn, carpets showing their age.nnLeft the sign for the room to be serviced, towels on the bathroom floor. These were picked up and put on the towel rail, rubbish not emptied nor bed made. Yes, this is a budget hotel, but I paid £140 a night for this. I stay in Travelodge often and this is by far the worst, and skip the breakfast box unless you like warm milk with your cornflakes.
My wife and I stayed for 1 night as we were attending a wedding in the area.nWe arrived in really late midnight but someone was on reception and we were checked in very quickly.nnRooms were clean and quiet. Beds very comfortable. The decor needs a refresh, which we understand is due next month. Lights were either all on, or all off, apart from the bathroom, so could do with some separate bedside lighting. Remember though this is a budget hotel. Selena the housekeeper was very helpful and all staff we encountered were friendly.nnThe location in perfect. If we had more time, we would have explored Wollaton Park as it’s right next to it.nnMinus points - no cooked breakfast option. Only a ‘breakfast to go’, costing £5.95 each, which we didn’t realise on booking and unfortunately my wife cannot eat due to a dairy and gluten intolerance. The pub next door doesn’t open till noon so we went into Stapleford to a cafe for breakfast which was very good the Little Kitchen - give it a try.nnTaxis - we used Notts Cars from the wedding venue back to the hotel - £20. Bit steep for the 3 mile journey but we were told it was a fixed price. Next day, we needed to pick up our car and struggled to get a taxi at 9am Saturday morning ‍ so happened across a private hire driver waiting for his next job. He kindly gave us a lift back to our car and didn’t charge us as we were ‘out of towners’! Brilliant. Thank you Ilyas for your kindness. He said the cost is usually around £10 using the Bolt taxi app now downloaded.nnAll in all a successful stay, despite the breakfast niggle.
Staff was very lovely and was very easy to check in.nnHowever, the bins wasn’t emptied before the previous tenant, leaving sanitary products. Also the shower being super slippery, especially for a family room what children are going to use. Breakfast was also shocking for the price.
