Pleasant member of staff greeting and the room was clean. Poor sleep from hearing noise all around me from 5am...wasn't sure if above, below or next door but it was constant, joined by the door slammers around 6am. Could've done with a decent breakfast, being awake so early but there was none.nnPs the joint building next door is being renovated, which I found out when I left. I'm assuming this was the blissful early morning noise i encountered.
I was presently surprised how travel lodge have honed its skills in efficiency. The bathrooms are well designed to keep impeccably clean, as is the room.nnHowever they seem to have neglected the no1 priority of any hotel. SleepnnThe air is moving with the air-con but it’s not cooling. The room is unbearably hot. There are 2 bright blue-white lights glowing on it constantly. They’re so bright I can see the whole room without turning the lights on.nnThe springs on the doors are set so strong that they slam. The building shakes a few times every minute as people return to their hotel rooms.nnI don’t understand why in this day and age, they can’t get those things right. I’m laying here awake in the middle of the night, because it’s so uncomfortable. It’s 7°c outside.
Great position in Town helpful staff and parking less than a 100 yards away and reasonably priced. The only negative comments are I hate shower curtains the water is always on the bathroom floor and the Room's need blackout curtains at 5 in the morning the room is almost like daylight. But Great staff very clean and good value.
No toilet roll, shower gel or TV remote in the room.nRoom was clean but some damage to decor.nDavid supervisor very apologetic & rectified the issues.nGood central location.
Ever since we've helped people in need to sleep a night they increased the price. Around £85 doesn't include wifi or bed in breakfast. The bathroom doesnt have body wash in or shampoo as they are always empty. So for that price it's a rip off
