Me and my partner stayed here for a few days in August, and we both really enjoyed our stay. Especially given that the staff were incredibly friendly, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. In particular, Benjamin made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we stepped foot through the doors, and always provided service with a smile on his face.
Lovely clean hotel. We had the disabled room, and it was beautiful smelt new . They even had a fan in the room . Windows had locks on. the only issue is it gets so hot in the room that no air conditioning, so take your own fans ,we did. Lovely friendly staff , very secure hotel especially at night. The towels provided are more hand towels, so pack your own. Lots of parking outside .
Rooms aren't that bad apart from our bed Room 125, the bed on the left hand side is not level and it's highly uncomfortable as I kept having to move as was going in the middle of the bed which is not wear I sleep and tbh expect a bed to be level.nHad a room with a bath which was essential for me. But was spoilt by the sloping bed.
Sadly the Refurb has not improved this hotel. Window did not close, tap on washbasin not secured. No nets so could not open curtains on ground floor & bedside light design meant light sent up or down but impossible to read with. Very noisy seagulls at 03.45 & traffic noise from 05.30. Very supportive night manager, excellent location and plenty of parking.
The condition of the room was poor. The bathroom fittings are badly in need of refurbishment.nThe bathroom vent was so full of dust I could see things living in it.nThe kettle was disgusting but I braved a sachet coffee as I was gasping after a long journey. It tasted disgusting.nLuckily, this Travelodge is in an excellent location in Westwood Cross, close to all the shops and restaurants. So we were able to spend little time in the room.nThe staff were nice and friendly.
