Stayed here for 2 nights in April as down visiting family. Grew up in Worcester so I know the area well and the location is great for easy access to everything you’d need. The great thing about Worcesters city centre is everything is easily accessible and within a reasonable walking distance. Really easy check in with super friendly staff, nothing seemed to be too much of a problem. The room was a lot cleaner and bigger than we’d expected, especially for what we’d paid. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great couple of nights sleep. Tea, coffee and a kettle were provided in the room as well as three towels and an extra set of pillows. We paid extra on the first day for breakfast which was okay for all you can eat but for a few quid more you could go somewhere else and have a much higher quality meal, so we didn’t bother the second day. Loads of great chain restaurants just outside the hotel so was ideal for us as the weather wasn’t on our side. Will definitely make this our go to hotel when we next come down. Rooms: We were given a family room I think as there was an extra bed. The room was a great size for two people, very clean and spacious. The only issue is the chargers didn’t work next to the bed so charging devices was a little inconvenient but nothing to complain about. The bathroom was clean and soap was provided as well as two lots of toilet roll. Walkability: Most places are within a reasonable walking distance from the hotel. Would take about 10/15 minutes roughly to walk to Worcester Foregate St Station. The high street is just round the corner and as I mentioned, lots of great bars and restaurants just outside. Food & drinks: Breakfast in the hotel wasn’t great but okay if you can eat a lot and get your moneys worth. Great chain restaurants just outside the hotel such as Starbucks, Yo Sushi, Miller and Carter, Cozy Club and Five Guys. We didn’t try the dinner menu although the prices seemed reasonable and breakfast and dinner menus are provided in your room. Tea and coffee was provided in the rooms and reception staff were happy to let you take more from them if you needed it.
Nice rooms and friendly staff. It's difficult to locate as the entrance is on the 1st floor of a shopping centre. The car park next to the hotel has a height restriction of 1.8m which should be clearly mentioned on the Web page. The next car park is a good 300m walk.Rooms: 5/5
Hotel is in a good location with a NCP car park beside around £11 for overnight. Hotel is randomly sort of within a shopping centre. Staff very friendly at check in. Room very spacious with a decent view of the cathedral and the city centre. Only 30 minutes free WiFi and if you want more you have to pay. Breakfast very poor compared to usual Travelodge standard - I went down at 9am and there was very little food left, and the food that was there was cold. Place for food was quite dated and dingy too. But the hotel was cheap and certainly did the job.
Budget hotel which wasn't exactly cheap, but the cheapest price I could find. I was very lucky in being allocated a room with a view of Worcester Cathedral. The room was basic but clean - no hairdryer though. I had problems with my key card not working but this was sorted. The staff at reception were friendly.Rooms: 3/5
You know what you are going to get but at surprisingly high prices. Clean, basic rooms, good bathrooms. Breakfast wasn't so good but the price was competitive. The signage is terrible but hunt for the entrance and you will find it on the first floor round the corner. From the square outside Ask restaurant, look up to the right...there it is! Rooms: Bring tea bags and milk or you will have to make do. They give you one bag per person . Walkability: Five minutes walk South from the Rail station.
Stayed here many times and got used to the key cards failing within 24hrs. Not a problem if you get 2 when checking in. On the last two visits, 5 weeks apart, they've not gad a card coding machine so have been issuing 'emergency' keys. These are just as unreliable as the normal.keys but can't be re-coded. This meant me going back to.reception twice before I got the last one, which worked. On my previous stay I had to be let into my room thrre times by staff members. The staff are doing their best here but are being badly let down by whoever is running the show. Having access to the room is a fairly basic requirement of a hotel and should not take more than 5 weeks to fix. Won't be staying again until the key card debacle is resolved. On a less important, but advertised facility, the lack of a tv remote control turned out to be irrelevant as the tv has no.cable to the aerial socket.
We use Travelodges regularly and are invariably happy with the experience. This one was much the same: clean linen, spotless bathroom, a fan to help cope with the weird weather. Useful tip if you're arriving by car: it's likely that your satnav will take you to Friar Street, opposite the ramp to the Cathedral parking garage, whereas the hotel fronts on High Street. I suggest you park there, then walk down the ramp to the pedestrian area and turn right to the hotel. It shares an entrance with a gym, so look for the Travelodge sign. Parking costs about £11 for 24 hours.
This is marked as a two star hotel, and that's spot on. If you're looking for price only, this is the place for you. It is a city centre location but the rooms are small. I will say it was clean but a noisy hotel full of people on short stays. Not a fan.Rooms: 3/5
The smallest room we've ever stayed in. Noise from other rooms until early hours, noise from car park at rear, noise from restaurants below, noise from restaurants kitchen giant extractors. Two lifts but only one takes you were you need to go. Badly signposted internally, walls and skirting scraped by cleaning carts, broken furniture in room. Staff outside smoking at entrance instead of actually being behind counter.
Room was ok breakfast was a big let down overheated food. Not much choice of drinks at bar Food & drinks: Food wasn't good
