An ideal hotel ideally placed slap bang in the centre of Liverpool. Literally opposite the Royal Liver Building and the '3 Graces'. Everything is within a 10 or 15 minute walk, Lime Street rail station about 20. Very friendly and accommodating staff, a nice cafe/bar where breakfast is taken. My room was on the 8th floor towards the back of the hotel so the view wasn't that great, but what the heck? A comfy king sized bed, a compact and bijou bathroom ! which was perfectly adequate for a 3 night stay. My only quibble was the lack of storage space but, again, for myself not a problem. Breakfast was good on each of the 3 mornings that I stayed. All in all a good hotel in an ideal location. I fully intend staying again, next time maybe asking for a room overlooking the Royal Albert Dock. Recommended.
Rooms are normal Travelodge standard. Don’t expect too much. WiFi is extra. Great location and nearby Qpark parking is superb. However, staff were extremely helpful in helping with retrieval of a left behind iPad so giving them full marks for service. Enjoy the Thank You chocolates!Rooms: 3/5
This was a super hotel to stay, priced cheaply during the mid-week period! The location is convenient next to the docks, pubs and shops or food outlets, lift took us up there reliably too. Check in is a large area and staff were friendly, the room itself was big to fit in belongings on the floor and table areas! Beds are comfortable, toilet facilities at the ready and hotel was easy to access after going out clubbing at night not too much of a walk either. Walkability: good location near docks and pubs
Absolutely amazing location. Super friendly and professional staff. Great breakfast. Lifts are small but everything else I'd brilliant
Stayed here for 2 nights - location is very good, right on the waterfront, and the room was very good value - small but clean. I paid extra for a Standard Plus room, which I don't think is really worth the extra money - the coffee machine isn't great and the Wi-Fi is quite slow my 5G signal was great and it was much faster. When I stayed, the lifts did get quite busy so this could be a bit of a disadvantage.
Ok hotel. Great location. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast wasn't great. When I went down for breakfast there were no sausages, hash browns, bacon, spoons, forks or plates. Had to wait 15 minutes for these to be put out. Pretty poor service. Also, the staff when checking in weren't overly friendly either.Rooms: 3/5
Visited over the bank holls, stayed 4 times Pryor to this visit. Unfortunately, the standard has slipped, and whilest rooms have stayed the same as before there's been no improvements done over the years. Decor usual travel lodge style, clean and ok, no toilet brush but hand gel and towels. It's now basic in comparison to nearby hotels for the price we paid. The bed wasn't comfortable. It sagged in the middle, so rolled together in the night. Plus, pillows were lumpy, and the duvet was thin. Only minimal tea coffee, ect, but extras available from the reception desk My hubby and our friends visited for breakfast, which could only be described as cold and lacking. The hottest item was the toast, both coffee drinks machines were broken. Not enought cups and service was not good, undertrained staff, plus reception unmanned during the 2nd day at breakfast so couldn't complain. The location is good, don't think I will return again as lots more available with better standards and service
Room was good but got up in the morning to shower for work @ 6.30am & water was freezing cold... I'm disabled & this was an accessable room & if I don't have a warm shower in the morning my back seizes up... Been in agony all day. Good views of Albert Quay though. Update this review since I posted it a few weeks ago... The strand has really pulled their socks up... Rooms are great now, that's why I've changed it to 5 stars, only little niggle is sometimes they are a little short staffed, only 1 or 2 people running reception, bar & kitchen when 3 are needed meaning long waiting times but rooms are much better. Rooms: Good rooms but water was always cold Walkability: Long way away if your disabled, relied on taxis
I had a great night sleep can't complain about that but plug was too.far away from the mirror so couldn't blow dry my hair because couldn't see in the mirror, not enough hangers, windows were dirty so couldn't see out of them which was a shame as got good view. No cup or glass in bathroom to put toothbrushes in. No shelf in shower to.put shower gel etc... on and to put on floor. Not very convenient need a little set of draws to put smalls in ie knickers, socks etc.... my eye sight isn't brilliant so a bigger TV would be great I know we don't spend a lot of time in room but when I was at night I couldn't see the TV properly as so so small. But apart from those things I still had a nice stay staff were friendly and helpful and polite
Just the basic sleepover place with no additional benefits, not even a room intercom. It is positioned in an advantageous location with easy connections to the bus station and other iconic places one can visit for fun. It is somehow fair for the price, but it can do better Rooms: Just a very basic place to sleep Nearby activities: Because of it's location, there is easy access to the bus station, the ferry port and other iconic places to enjoy fun activities like the museum, the water front etc. Walkability: Walkable distance to a lot of the places where fun activities are happening
