If you accept Travelodges for what they are meant to be- well located, low budget, no-frills hotels, then you will be happy with this one.nnLocated just behind the Marlowes shopping centre, opposite it's car park exit, it is very well located.nnThe rooms are always the same, very small and basic. The bed was really soft and springy and exactly what I hate from a bed, so I didn't have a good sleep.nnThe bathroom was equally as basic as the bedroom, but at least it came with an overhead shower above the bath.nnWith limited hotels in the area, the majority booked out and Travelodge being the cheapest, it did the job for just getting my head down after a night out.
Had a very good stay. Room was a very good standard modern and clean. Breakfast to go was nice and the staff were always really helpful.
The website claims it’s been recently remodelled. This consists of a paint job and a new shower curtain. The mattress is definitely not new, there is limescale and rust marks in the bath. There dirt marks on the wall. The room smelt so had to buy Fabreez and spray everywhere down. To top all of that there was no hot water all day of the second day I was staying and the staff didn’t really seem that bothered. Worst place I have ever stayed

Cheap and cheerful, for £40 you can’t expect the ritz. Bedding was clean, staff were helpful. Room overall was in desperate need of an upgrade and was tatty looking but we had a good nights sleep
