Travelodge's are always a mixed bag and some are better than others. Went to this one as staying overnight as there to see Air at the Piece Hall. Decent location 15 minutes walk to venue if you knew the way, decent sized room and facilities although the light in the bathroom didn't work. First time in years that I've stopped in a hotel that has an actual door key to get into the room as opposed to a card. Staff in the hotel were lovely. The main draw back to this Travelodge is they don't have catering/bar. They do the breakfast boxes once again, a mixed bag and a vending machine that eats your money and doesn't give you anything back.
Good location, plenty of parking, even for a large van. A couple restaurants and pubs around, quite a trendy area. Very friendly person at the reception. The room is large and warm. Bathroom clean and hot strong shower. Bed comfy, overall great experience. Only minus is there is no restaurant hence no breakfast, otherwise I would recommend.
This was one of the nicest Travelodges I have stayed in. A really comfortable room. The ned was very comfortable and the room clean and reasonably laid out.nUnusually, the windows opened sufficiently to let in fresh air.nHalifax would not be one of my top location suggestions, but this place was a gem.
Lovely room and an easy walk to town. Only slight issue was parking. Receptionist said we could park for 2 hrs free so should be OK as it was just after 3 pm and car park was free after 5. However, none of the signs or meters said anything about 2 hrs free, so we paid as didn't want a fine. The machine did say that after 5pm you could buy a ticket for the next morning but when we tried, it wouldn't let us, so my husband had to go out at 7am to buy a ticket.
Should be advertised and priced as a basic hotel. The only difference between this and Easyhotels is coffee. But I paid £30 more.nNo restaurant facilities open nearby.nMy advice is to plan earlier and get in the city centre premier inn.
