Very basic rooms, was water damage down our wall. No hooks for towels in the bathroom & soaps were empty. Hard bed & small space. No one came to freshen the room. Breakfast was inconsistent- one morning we could pick off menu, the next it was a buffet. Ingredient quality was poor. Staff were nice enough but didn’t help out too much. Felt like an inconvenience ordering cocktails at around midday, as they said they were too busy tidying up breakfast. Cocktails were poor, though they did offer to remake them we declined this due to time taken and perhaps ingredient quality was poor. Good things: nice big bath sheets, good shower pressure, lots of mirrors. Very close to the metro. About £8 in an Uber from centre. Wouldn’t return though!
Nothing to fault this hotel. Room was immaculate. Very clean, facilities in room were great and shower was lovely. Beds extremely comfortable. We had what I believe was called the efficient room. Location is close to city centre, Old Trafford football and cricket grounds. Breakfast was delicious and had vegetarian options. Most importantly however was the service which was brilliant. Anamika in the restaurant was brilliant and very much on top of things. Very impressed and would return. Rooms: Clean, new and comfortable. Nearby activities: Close to stadium, cricket ground and city centre. Safety: Secure car park. Food & drinks: Great breakfast.
I rented their venue for religious purposes over a year and I can’t express how great the operational manager was, Bogi was her name . The prices she gave us were great for the Victorian styled venue, the service was outstanding , many times she went off her way just to make sure we had everything we needed. The only reason we left was because they were renovating. I really miss this place!
Location is great. But house keeping , room maintenance , stained old , barely cleaned carpets make me never come again. I am a gold member of Wyndham and I would definitely look around for some place better next time. Wasted my points booking room at this itinerary. Plus there is not lift U have to drag ur bags two floors up.
We stayed here to go to a concert at the live arena and it was perfect. Far enough out of the city to have parking onsite but 100m away from a tram stop that went into the city every few minutes. They ran into the early hours too so we could get back easily. Staff couldn't do enough to help, so friendly and efficient. I would stay again if I was in the area. Rooms: Rooms were clean and functional with all the facilities you'd expect. They upgraded us to a room within the main building rather than the cottage room I'd booked which was slightly older. It didn't have a window but the air con was fine instead. Nearby activities: Easy to get to Manchester city centre for shops, bars and events. I didn't realise when booking but only along the street to Old Trafford football ground. Food & drinks: Breakfast was included with the price and there was a bar and restaurant that non residents could use. I had butter chicken and it was delicious! The breakfast items were standard and satisfactory for the price.
Booked this hotel for the 1st time as was cheap and had parking available on site for the night. When I arrived It looked run down and carpets were stained lost all hope. Exterior needs to be updated and refreshed. Once inside the customer service was exceptional. Once entered the room I was shocked it was modern, clean, comfortable and spacious. For the price and the room recieved this spot is amazing. P.S enjoyed it so much extended for another night
Amazing couple of days, staff were so friendly and accommodating. We took advantage of the fabulous Afternoon Tea, with Cocktails. Opted for the Tomahawk Steak Dinner, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be first on my list of places to stay when on Manchester. Plenty of secure parking onside, surprise 15% discount on food and drinks for guests staying.
I’m giving this place 5 stars just because, for £51 in 2024 it’s probably the best value hotel I’ve ever stayed in! It was cheaper than us getting a return train ticket from Leeds! It was ahead of expectations in all ways. Room was great, got a free upgrade from the cottage room, it’s a bit rundown on the outside but inside it was clean & modern enough, all staff were polite and friendly, the breakfast was included in the above price and the options were very good, the quality was a little basic but okay really.
Stopped here with the family, their were 4 of us, as we was going to visit the Manchester United ground under 10 min drive from hotel too ground. Staff were friendly in the hotel, food was nice decent portions, kids portions were fab. Had discount for food as we stopped there which was great, drinks are reasonably priced. Staff were friendly. Only down fall for me, was i booked the king suite to accommodate 4 ppl. I was understander the impression at least one bed would be a king size bed, however it was two beds joined together, which was pretty uncomfortable, as the bed was moving apart, did report this to reception and spoke to a male who advised he would put a joint protector on the bed so beds don't move apart. Stopped here for two nights, however nothing seemed to be done, my bed was uncomfortable, so didn't have the best sleep, as if I went towards the middle of the bed they would drift apart. Someone came to clean the room, but looks like the they just changed the towels and topped up the coffee, room still looked the same and so did beds. Overall would of been a great experience it it wasn't for that
Great location for Old Trafford. Staff very friendly and keen to give you an enjoyable stay. Lovely room and was given breakfast in the price to beat online booking site. Can leave car on site after check out which is ideal for going to a match at OT and picking car up afterwards. Only £4 a day parking. Great value and would defo visit again. Nearby activities: Only 10 - 15 min walk to old trafford
