Definitely recommend a stop get tour bus day pass stops near by or stroll down in in town. Great exhibition nice little library for a read or if you want to be art bring your bits and sit. Staff are lovely and make sure you get a photo round the corner of this stunning gallery. Small but mighty perfect in its own right. Highly recommended.
We visited on the weekend of the Eastbourne Tennis tournament. The place was still getting uninstalled from the occupancy of Media’s during the tournament. So relatively quiet. The lift was out of service for several days. However the staff was very helpful. They helped us access the top floor via another building because we had a sleeping toddler hence stairs were a bit tough for us.nReally enjoyed Emma Stibbon’s exhibition. Love the idea of using her art to educate people about environmental impact on local surroundings.nLovely place to visit!
I always visit if I’m in the area as there is always something worth seeing. The current exhibition is superbly curated and thought provoking. Well worth a trip as always, not least as it’s free to enter!
Beautiful art gallery building in Eastbourne painted by artist Lothar Gotz in 2019 to celebrate 10 years of opening. Locals love it so much it hasn't been painted back to white. Likely to need touch ups in future so Towner needs a sponsor.
Every town should have a great art gallery and exhibition space. This is a delight it's free for most areas apart from special exhibitions. A great permanent collection of Ravilious paintings. Has both a cafe downstairs and restaurant upstairs fully wheelchair accessible.
