Common Riding event in Hawick, Scotland is held every year from May to June. It commemorates the victory of the town of Hawick over the English in battle of Hornshole and has been celebrated for over 500 years since 1514.
We having a couple of days in Hawick lovely place.Rented an apartment.
Many many thanks Hawick council for providing spaces for camper vans and Motorhomes, the provision of water and waste empty facilities is absolutely fantastic, why can’t more councils be as welcoming…. Myself and my wife along with our two little dogs enjoyed the lovely walks through the town and the park, stopping off to use the veterans cafe in the town, and the local chippy last night, we’ve also used the supermarket today stocking up on groceries and filling the campervan with fuel before we head off to continue our weeks holiday, We know these facilities are provided to encourage people to spend money in the towns that host them, and we can confirm we did exactly that….Well done Hawick
Terrible, bought 3 bags and basically what was in bag added up to price paid. Vegan sausage rolls, small sandwich packs. No sweet treats at all. Not happy won't be getting again.
I worked here as a caretaker or 10 years......love this place, great for functions ....dances, concerts ect......best place in town
