If you visit the cemetery this is a must. I had a latte and ordered spinach scrambled eggs and a children's breakfast. The chef came out and explained that he had no spinach. You would think that would be a negative but he explained he could make it any way we wanted and we chose mushrooms. WoW.. turned out fantastic. The customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend this cafe. As you can eat inside or out depending upon the weather. One thing to note the bathrooms are to your right when leaving the indoor Cafe. I also posted the menu in my review.
Possibly Dublin’s worst café, very disappointing considering how well the cemetery is run and so well kept. The cafe is letting the cemetery down badly and needs attention quickly. We visited today when it was NOT busy so seemed no excuse for an unkept premises. During our visit today we found that the hygiene standards left a lot to be desired, the floors were not kept clean, serving counter unkept, and the bin lid near the serving counter was dirty. One female staff member serving behind the till wiped her nose with the palm of her hand and continued on serving to be fair it looked like she done it without thinking or realising what she had just done. Another female staff member was observed blowing her nose in the back prep area and continued on working without washing her hands. It is really unacceptable for personal hygiene not to be a priority especially these days. Very concerning that within 60 mins 2 staff members showed bad hygiene etiquette and would make me wonder how effective the hygiene training is at the cafe. There were two customer complaints regarding gone off oat milk served to them in their coffee while we were there. There were also no glasses available at the water station and we had to go hunt them down ourselves however there was no one around to get them for us so we improvised and found some takeaway coffee cups. We were there today for lunch, the standard of food was not great however it was eatable apart from the overcooked fries it was simply just not great food. Finally, the Tea pot incident, we had ordered tea for two, we noticed that the tea did not taste great but persevered with it in the hope it would somehow magically get better it didn’t when we looked inside the teapot it was filthy!! The stains around the rim and inside the pot were actually disgusting, these were not years old tea stains and to prove it I wiped the stains with a wet tissue and .. well, look at the photos you can see for yourself. I approached a male staff member looked like a supervisor I explained the situation about the tea pot and asked to give me a clean teapot and top up with hot water, he actually refused initially saying “I can top up the pot you gave me but if it’s a new pot I’ll need to charge you for a new pot of tea” I showed him the dirt in the pot but insisted this is “normal stains” then proceeded to huff and puff and then finally gave me a less dirty pot of tea for free. So in the end we left this cafe today hungry, in need of a proper cup of tea and so unimpressed with this experience. The only thing worse than all of this was that when we finished the excellent tour it was sad to learn that Michael Collins Ireland’s greatest hero is laid to rest beside possibly Dublin’s worst cafe ‍ From looking at reviews back as far as 3 years ago it’s seems nothing changes here and any negative review is met with the standard cut and paste response. All this shows is that there is little or no consideration to the paying customer and more importantly the paying tourists that we so badly need in this country. Long story short lads, retrain your staff, improve the hygiene standards, keep the place clean and for gods sakes scrub those damn teapots!!! “ We are sorry to read your review, we will take this onboard. We want to inform you that we work with high quality products, suppliers and staff to ensure a great customer experience in our sites. Thank you for your valued feedback. Kindly, SI Café Team.”
Floor had a lot of food dropped on it - clearly a school group had been in but it does need cleaned as soon as they leave. Glasses for water were stained and marked probably from the dishwasher. Prices were slightly expensive at €4.30 for a slice of cake and €3 for a drink I think. Toilets are outside the main cafe. Some seating inside and also outside with sun umbrellas.
The best breakfast I’ve had in Glasnevin / Phibsboro so far. Delicious scones, broad offer of good traditional savory dishes, well made coffees and Italian-proof espresso — everything’s fairly priced, which is a plus. The staff is friendly and so professional. It’s definitely a great start for a day!
Good coffee and nice cake, but the prices are outrageous. It is like €4.50 for a slice of cake. It is a welcome refuge from the elements however and has WiFi which is handy if you want to stream a funeral service from the crematorium chapel. It was too full to get in.Food: 3/5

Anytime I visit the cemetery I make sure to stop here. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. Their cakes and coffee are amazing. The staff are very polite and attentive. The hot food looks amazing, I never seem to have time to stay for it but I will on my next visit.
I love when I can to start my mornings with a cappuccino and croissant from The Tower Cafe. I always ask Lucas to make my cappuccino because he is a talented barista. The location is also very beautiful and interesting.
The best staff that I ever had. Lucas was amazing, friendly and helped us to choose our food and drink with great attention to details. 100% sure that we'll back soon.
Such a delightful surprise on my first visit to Glasnevin. Good coffee, tasty food and great staffs. Lucas was pleased and helpful. Now I will be back just to try all the menu elaborated for him.
