A fascinating place to visit. If you come to Totnes for the Castle make sure you have time to see this as well. An amazing old house with original features and courtyard with garden plus plenty of interesting exhibits from different time periods. No charge to go in but donations help them to continue their important work. Don’t miss it! Simon & Laura
Interesting place to visit, free admission but they do rely on donations and suggest a very reasonable £2 a person. Quite a lot to see on multiple floors. Glad we popped in for a look around. If you are in the area do pop in!
As museum go it's not very big but well worth looking around as there is plenty to see...The building it self is very historical with all the lovely old wooden beams and supporting posts...what fascinated us was one particular man by the name of Charles Babage, the things he started to invent all those years ago is almost unbelievable....Back in the 18th century he came up ideas about computers and submarines etc,you would never imagined people thinking like that all those years ago...What a clever man he was...The whole museum is so interesting to look around
What an amazing museum, lots of interesting items in an amazing old building, my favourite was the Charles Babbage room. Plenty of information but in bite size chunks, well worth a visitVisited onWeekendWait timeNo wait

Born and bred here but I'd never been in. It's lovely, quite a diverse range of things actually and a gorgeous old building. I really enjoyed my visit and would pop back again to look at some of the little things I didn't have time to. Definitely worth a look. Donation entry.
Happy tourists today in the Museum, lot's of exhibitions featuring Totnes coins and bottles.
Really really big building, husband swears it's haunted! He heard several voices when no one was around and all windows closed.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
