I went to Tonic for a restyle after being long-term sick in a bid to cheer me up. I asked Katie/Kate the stylist for a restyle with a heavy fringe and shorter layers in my hair and was convinced by her to try something else that wasn't what I asked for. The resulting style doesn't suit me, the layers are poorly chopped - blunt and heavy - meaning the weight of the style isn't balanced and topped with a longer side fringe that is wispy and annoying the hell out of me. So I have long hair with heavy blunt long layers and a wispy fringe. Looks as good as it sounds. When I went to Tonic to complain, I was told that Kate/Katie was free to redo my hair - why wasn't she able to cut my hair correctly the first time? I've received neither an apology or a refund but a continual insistence that I return to the salon to have my hair recut by any other of the hairdressers there. Naturally, I'm questioning their capabilities especially if Katie/Kate is considered a good stylist here and will be looking elsewhere to get this mess sorted out. I'm a walking advertisement for the haircuts available by Tonic so happy to show off the results to anyone curious about the work they do. Also, they handle complaints badly and ineffectively so don't go unless you're absolutely sure of the style and trust the hairdresser implicitly. Which I wouldn't.
