The food here is spectacular and adventurous. Predominantly seafood with one beef and one vegan option as well as dinner specials, the menu is limited but, in my opinion, with good reason. Each meal is prepared with great care and attention to every detail so that all foods compliment and complete each other. An excellent combination of flavors that your taste buds will happily dance in! I tried things I never expected to and liked them! Another surprise! I will definitely be going again!
Very surprising! Great food and good service, very light. Breath of fresh air from all the fried pub food in the area : and good vegan options too!
Fabulous seafood cooked to perfection. We had natural oysters, steam mussels for starter followed by lemon sole and monkfish
Fabulous seafood, nice bustling atmosphere and great service. Parking: Limited parking close to restaurant, check it out before you go. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is up steep flight of stairs so I would say not wheelchair friendly
What a find! Dinner for two - entree, amuse bouche, starter, main and 1 dessert, plus 2 bottles of wine, all for about £130. Very attentive and friendly service from the staff all evening. All the dishes were fabulous - good flavours subtly seasoned, and artfully presented. The chef clearly knows what he wants to achieve and brings out the best in his ingredients. All the fish are freshly caught and locally sourced, so no doubt the menu will change frequently. There were three specials and then a choice of 3-4 starters, mains and desserts. Plenty! The restaurant is on the first floor of a quaint building by the harbour outdoor stone steps, note but unfortunately the windows are too small for guests to enjoy the view. We were there on Wednesday evening and all the tables were booked, so I think reservations are a must to avoid disappointment. Highly recommend this place!
Wonderful find. Amazing and delicious food made in unique ways. Friendly staff who were very accommodating. The place has a very nice and cute ambiance. Makes for a lovely evening for any occasion. Definitely will be returning.
Superb venue. Amazing quality seafood at great prices, right on the harbour front. Staff superb and all done in a very Covid friendly way. Recommended! Sorry pic just of Shellfish Bisque and Scallops as mains looked so yummy we just jumped in!
Lovely food. I'm Ceoliac so there was no problem. Service first class.
Excellent local seafood, lovely desserts. Years since we were last here: we will be back. Cosy, small restaurant with daily specials for both starters and mains. Prompt, friendly service. Note: The restaurant is located at the top of a flight of uneven steps it IS the oldest building in Stonehaven, after all, so not ideal for the infirm.
Very nice three course menu. Friendly staff. Could maybe be a bit more salty and spicy but that's just me.
