Stonehaven has much to offer the visitor besides Dunnottar Castle. The Toll Both Museum is sweet and they made plenty of effort with the displays. Do go see for yourself. It's free, and currently open only on Saturday and Sunday 12:30 to 15:30. I believe that from April '23 onwards the museum will be open during the week from 1:30pm to 4:30 pm please check with the Museum yourself for more accurate details about the exact date thereof :- I can see that they would welcome a donation although the Museum is absolutely free. Unfortunately I didn't have any coins or notes on my person, otherwise I would have put my change in the . Try to remember taking a couple of coins with you.:- - you're also likely to run into a real life movie star at the Museum who will tell you a story or two about Stronehaven "back when". A real character. Apologies -I can't remember his name unfortunately. They also play a video in the back about the"Fireball" tradition on New year's. Incorporate it into your trip. It's always nice to be entertained by yesteryears stuff, isn't it? Enjoy your day out.
Had a fabulous chat with the volunteers today at the museum, so many great stories and we had a good laugh. Particularly enjoyed watching the film displaying the fireball celebrations. Thanks for the work you do to keep it going :-

If you are in Stonehaven be sure to check out this little museum. The place is absolutely amazing, full of beautiful and interesting items. Staff take up work with care and talent. There is a gift shop in the museum. There you can find ordinary souvenirs like magnets and postcards, and more unusual and beautiful ones. I would highly recommend
I enjoyed the visit in the museum so many things to see. Very friendly and helpfulstaff working there

Cracking little museum open at very specific times - and free. Lovely staff and a massively eclectic mixture of items. The Victorian jail for example, side by side with heated hair curlers from the 60's! But the staff and the atmosphere are the real stars. Definitely worth a visit.
It's a small interesting place, but not arranged with much thought. There is no pattern in what you're looking at, so you can read about a bunch of unrelated items that are crowded together. That said, with some proper arranging it would be nice and it seems people are very friendly and chatty, if you enjoy that. And you don't have to invest a ticket, so no loss.
