It's a lovely place very cozy and welcoming. The staff were lovely but for a place of this size it took quite a while to queue to get through the line to get the meat cut then the actual food onto your plate,by the time the last person in my party had been served I'd nearly finished what I had. Maybe another chef to cut meat would make it quicker. The food was nice but OK,I felt it all just needed more seasoning. Our bill twice was over charged and finally on 3rd time it was right but the girl looking after us couldn't have been any nicer. Puddings were delicious!!!!
Customer service was very good, staff attentive and friendly. We had the famous carvery and were not disappointed. They had 4 roasts on offer, the lamb was delicious. Great selection of veg and 2 types of roasties. Everything was hot and not dried up at all. Best carvery I have had in a long time. There was no pressure to vacate our table, when we had finished eating, although the restaurant had become very busy. So we had a very relaxing enjoyable dining experience. Well done
Pleasant restaurant. The food is tasty and home-style. Friendly service. We were with a group of 10 people including two children. A place was quickly prepared for us and we were quickly welcomed and served. This is a restaurant where you go to the counter and you get a slice of meat from each type of meat made that day. You can choose vegetables and sauces as many times as you want. I really recommend.
Needs a good manager to bring some efficiency to the place. I've been twice and there seems to be a lack of management. Young staff members running around. There's one good chef with what looks like work experience hovering around him getting in the way. The queue for the carvery on Sunday night at 7pm took 35mins to be served and then most of the vegetable dishes were empty. What was on offer was fairly cold. With so many customers going to this place a decent manager would be a great investment for both customers and the staff who remain.
Carvery was good quality. Meat and veg very good. Yorkshire puds were like fluffy poppadoms though. Just burst everywhere. Service pretty good. Staff friendly. Place looking a bit tired but overall a good experience. Can get this for same quality at a lower price at Westgate Farm, Edinburgh but would still go back.Food: 5/5
We had a 5pm booking along with many other diners. They had ONE person carving. It took nearly 30 minutes in the queue. It was good food but surely another person helping would help! We asked to order dessert, took about 15 minutes for the server to take the order. Asked for the bill. It took around 25 minutes and another request for the bill. I want to drop the star rating but the food was good.
Stopped off here on way back from Edinburgh airport. The carvery is fantastic! Best one I have been to. Was very busy, do obviously popular. The meat and vegetables were lovely, and the beef dripping roast potatoes were especially good. Service was also excellent. Thoroughly recommended. Edit:. Stopped off for a breakfast buffet en route to Edinburgh airport. Excellent produce and good value for money
Wonderful staff that took great care of about 40 of us during our stay at the Premier Inn. Having to follow a pescatarian diet, Sarah & another lovely lady made sure I always had a pleasant experience. Everything I had was fresh. I tried most of the vegetarian menu, which was pretty good. Would highly recommend the Salmon! Thank you for a great time :
The staff were polite but very slow, there were a number of items off the menu which was disappointing not in specifics but in scale. The main gripe I have is every element of it is so slow. The carvery area was so short staffed that as a table of 7 people, some had finished their food by the time others had sat back down. There needs to be better management on the floor. I will say the price is a 5 star every time. A meal out for 7 with all soft drinks under £100 right now is a fantastic deal! Plenty of parking.
We went quite late and the meat was almost finished. There was a good range of vegetables. The staff were lovely and in particular one lady.. sorry I didn't get her name but she was so lovely and funny. Extremely obliging so big thank youFood: 3/5
